punch drunk love was an amazing movie. It'll probably take you 3-4 times to really catch the symbolism. you really have to be open and ready to analyze it deep in order to get it.

yes I went with my girl..and there was nothing romantic about that movie. and there was definitely nothing comedic about it.

I'm not just saying it to be funny... a sleezy divorce lawyer falls for a gold digging starlett, who swindels him into marriage to get his money, and then they get back together because they really love each other..... exactly. shame on you billy bob thornton, george clooney, geoffry rush, catherine zeta jones, and the coen brothers.... sad...sad I say.

long and short.... I'm from PA, but I moved to Texas to finish school. My gf is back in PA and we only get to see each other every couple of months. She came down for a week and it was one of the best weeks of my life. There's a whole lot more to the story, but it ends with today when I dropped her off this morning and, well, it sucked. Long distant relationships are tough, but I've never met a girl who's been so worth it.

I'm just gonna say that my only beef is when people can't accept other people's beliefs. Clu is gone because of that. Thank God. If you read my thread about roman it mainly consisted of me, abo, and a few people discussing quite cordially I might say, my personal take on a relationship(mainly mine and my gfs). I think we should thank the good posters who are left here, young and old, gay or straight, black or white, conservative or liberal. I hope people stick around and I look forward to laughing and maybe by chance making someone laugh. who knows, maybe we'll even learn a thing or two about each other. so I thank my bros from espn(frank, mike, thomas, etc) for being cool and I thank my new friends here. Abo, apu, whitesox56789, steve, begood, etc. you guys are great and I'm glad that despite differences we have hilarious and meaningful topics. geez, did I pick a time to come back and start posting again. If I say anything that is offensive or taken the wrong way, I hope I'm always able to learn from that and understand where I'm wrong. I hope we can all seek that goal. however, I do retain the right to use "F you (your name here)" and in this case... F you southsider, you're the one who brought us over here.
