  1. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 04:21 PM) I am just sick of this blaming the manager when the players don't execute. I understand there are bad managerial decisions, but come on, the players play the game. All he had to do was bunt, do you want Ozzie to go out and hold his hand for him and show him how it's done? Give me a break. I remember last year he had them take bunting practice and took the bat and bunted them perfect down each line and said, "There, not so hard!" and I thought it was funny that Ozzie can still bunt.
  2. That was the right call. If we'd had a batter up there who can bunt. I can't remember the last time Iguchi bunted it on the ground.
  3. LET'S GET A f***ING WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111!!!!!!!!
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 03:57 PM) AARDSMA I f***ING LOVE YOU YA BASTARD Are you gonna punch yourself?
  5. Too early for him to say, "If we don't win, fire me." Guess he should say it midway through the season or at the end. When else would he say it? Jeez.
  6. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 05:08 AM) Sorry but I just had to. From the Denver Broncos cheerleading auditions; Are you for real?
  7. That Zito investment's looking great for San Francisco.
  8. Umm...did the umpire really show him up by "Ejecting" him? LULZ
  9. QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 06:09 PM) Let me re-phrase that, I think Greg Walker sucks ass as a hitting coach, and shouldn't even be a minor league hitting coach. I agree with you are saying and all, but it starts at the top, IMO. A great MLB hitting coach will help fix any faults that a youngster comes up with, as well as the guys already on the team or brought in via. free agency or trade. It'd be nice if we had young kids who could come up and immediately produce.
  10. Everything suggests Contreras is in good shape. From the Spring, unless something dramatic happened. I just think he got caught in between on his angles, had some trouble getting his breaking balls over and lost his focus. I imagine he'll be fine next time out. I hope so, anyway.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 03:11 PM) Mariano Rivera is throwing 98 mph cutters. Unreal No way.
  12. Why wouldn't you be able to regulate CO2? What was the argument against it?
  13. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 02:52 PM) But just imagine what it would be like with Farmer! "A slam here..."
  14. You know what, I hate Hawk. I'm through with him. Stretch! Ugh.
  15. Mmhmm. He won't buy the Cubs, that's for sure.
  16. QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 10:48 AM) The only speculation I've seen anywhere (and I've never seen the speculation backed up by Cuban quotes) is that he'd be interested in the Pirates, since he's a Pennsylvania guy. It makes more sense financially to buy the Pirates. There's nowhere to go but up in Pittsburgh, and it seems like all revenue streams are maxed out, or close to it, on the North side. He'd be hamstrung by the inability to build a new ballpark somewhere else, the lack of parking, and the limited alterations he'd be allowed to do to Wrigley. I believe he's made the offer to buy the Pirates before.
