QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 30, 2006 -> 07:28 AM) AJ: "I don't know why he hit me. I don't know what I did. I didn't do anything to show him up. I just ran to first. Maybe he should hit the guy who rolled the ball back to the pitcher." -------------------------------------------------------- Their manager is full of s*** and a liar.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 11:03 PM) Prob wont be remembered that much.... Konerko and Ozzie are probably the guys who will get the most love. Thome, Jenks and Buehrle, too, from typical fans. Maybe some Contreras.

I loved Blum's. I love Geoff Blum, actually. He was my favorite bench player last year for purely sentimental reasons, and his homerun couldn't have happened to a nicer, more decent guy, IMO.

QUOTE(JenksForPrez45 @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) LOL why does Paul look like Tom Hanks to me? Heh, I see that too.

QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 12:51 AM) There is no way he can know exactly what it was.. they havent released that info, and if it was, it would be all over Finheaven.. but its not.. he did get judged by his past and I think he got a raw deal.. he really cleaned up after the last debacle and the guy is tested SO many times theres no way he would pull the same s*** I wouldn't put it past him. People are stupid. -
QUOTE(sircaffey @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 03:33 PM) Pauly, Buehrle, Jose, Thome, and Iguchi Gooch! I do hope he gets put on the team.

All I know is he'd better bring Ozuna.

What does it mean that he was "pitching from the stretch"?

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) BAH! Theres nothing worse in the world than a great athelete who just won't quit when he knows he's done for. About the only guy I recall who went out on top was Elway. I don't think he "knows" he's done. In fact, I'd say he "knows" he can have a good year. I'm rooting for Brett Favre, personally, but I don't know that he does. Actually, if I were a betting man I'd bet against him having anything special in the year. I'm just saying that I don't blame atheletes for not going out when they're the only ones who have faith in themselves anymore.

QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 09:21 AM) I was going to ask how can you hate Dan Marino but youre a Packers fan so I can see how you would want Favre to break it.. even though it aint happening I am not a Packers fan. I was clearly being sarcastic in my post saying I'm a Packers fan, and if it wasn't obvious enough then at least now I'm being unequivocal. I'm a Bears fan, primarily, although I have a fondness for Denver and New England. About Favre not having a chance to break Marino's record, there's this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brett_Favre : He's got a very good chance to break Marino's record. I'm not entirely convinced he can, which is why I'm rooting for him to do so. About Dan Marino, and how I can dislike him: he's smug and obnoxious in my view. Everytime I watch him on HBO's Inside the NFL or ESPN he bugs me. He was a great quarterback, but I just don't like him.

Am I the only one who thinks Dye's defense is underrated? We might've lost that game yesterday without him. By my count, he made three spectacular catches in right field that robbed the Angels of some major hits, including a homerun. So here's to the former Gold Glover!

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!&#

I'm quite proud of my weblog. http://officeoftheindependentblogger.com/ I thought I'd share it, since I haven't before. I am the Independent Blogger of the Office of the Independent Blogger. “Independent” in the same sense Ken Starr was. Meaning “not very independent, indeed.” It's a liberal blog, but I'm mildly Conservative. Certainly you'll find a Conservative's viewpoint on Iraq, with modifications of course. (A contempt for Donald Rumsfeld, for instance.) I'm a Democrat, though, and that's clear in most of the entries. Anyway, it's something I'd like to share.

I wrote about this today on my website/blog, The Office of the Independent Blogger (http://officeoftheindependentblogger.com/) and I'm quite proud of it. I titled it, "To Those Whose Faith in God is Skewed."

This entire situation in the Sudan is disgusting and breaks my heart a million times over.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 09:01 PM) Did I miss something? Are we talking about sex now? No. The speculation about Podsednik's problems ended about two weeks ago. -
AJ looks the same, basically.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 08:57 PM) That's awful reasoning. It's unlikely to me, but I've wanted to achieve something on a personal level and rushed it before. I'm sure most people have. I'm just wondering what's wrong and thought that was, perhaps, it. I know it's unlikely, and I do hope Freddy's far more reasonable than that, but we're all silly creatures at times. -

I'm thinking that maybe Freddy will announce that he's injured after he gets a win tonight, making him the most successful Venezuelan pitcher? Maybe he's been injured but not speaking about it because he wants to pass Alvarez? Something's seriously wrong, because Freddy is much better than this. -
