  1. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 12:07 PM) Think so? NO!
  2. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 12:05 PM) Let's try it again. Is Pods gonna hit .067 all year? Of course not. He should be fine. Robin Ventura had rough spots and starts at points in his career, too. It happens to the best of them.
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 12:01 PM) NOT COOL. Well, I'm a little confused, you see. I thought Korey Patterson was sent to Baltimore, not the south side of Chicago.
  4. Double for AJ. Jermaine Dye scores. Looks like we're well-hunkered.
  5. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 11:44 AM) 16? You should have said so. I would have laid off... ...a bit. Nah, it's okay. I forgive your misguided distaste for Logan.
  6. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 11:42 AM) You'll be the grown man with the baseball glove, right? I'll be the Sixteen year old kid with a baseball glove, yes.
  7. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 11:25 AM) Soxtalk roll call for this weekend's game? I'll be in attendance both Saturday and Sunday. I'll be there Sunday. Where are you sitting?
  8. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 08:00 AM) I heard Ryan tell that story and by the end I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. He said he has laughed with Robin about it also. A few Robin quotes from then: QUOTE(juddling @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 07:46 AM) Sure, sitting in front of your computer, with nothing on the line, you could say that. But if you were actually behind the plate, in the heat of the game, and beanballs had been flying all day, and some pissed as hell batter who has already been hit comes to bat and says that, you would probably think twice. One good hit ends your carreer, and one fast bankrupcy ends any money you might get as a result of it. No. I might think twice, but I wouldn't let a batter dictate terms like that to me.
  9. McCarthy is needed for other situations, not this.
  10. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 05:28 PM) Reminds me of this lesbian porno I saw where this one chick starting licking under this other girl's arm, and worked her way down south. That sounds very hot.
  11. QUOTE(hi8is @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 09:48 AM) and my middle name is digler. Your parents must've hated you!
  12. QUOTE(samclemens @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 08:03 PM) i was at a spring training game in one of ozzie's last season with us and some old guy sitting front row above the sox dugout called him a bum. ozzie climbed up on top of the dugout and lambasted the old man. it was one of the funniest things i have ever seen. i must have been 12 at the time. this is when the sox were still in sarasota, FL. What'd Ozzie say to him -- or did you not understand him?
  13. ^^^^^^^^^^^ Hey...all the cool kids were doing it!
  14. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 06:11 PM) First off, Buehrle and (insert name here) should be on the list. Second off, no way should Mussina and Johnson be on the list. Also, Beckett and Schilling No.1? What the f*** did those losers do last year to merit this spot? Also funny that they gave no love to Cleveland either. I think Lee and Sabathia/Westbrook could deserve mention. They're from Boston -- that's what they did to deserve it. Nothing Sports Illustrated loves more than a team from NY, Boston or St. Louis.
  15. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 03:31 PM) Where he is now? I don't know Where should he be? Announcing White Sox games on the radio (in place of Singleton) or on TV (in place of DJ) I was really impressed with Ventura when he filled in last year. I wonder if the Sox/Comcast/The Score were too cheap to pay him something respectable.
  16. Good for those guys to get the good press -- I'm sure that must be a boost for all of their egos, from the oft-injured Burnett to the currently injured Halladay. Mark Prior must be holding his heart (with his left arm, of course) and smiling. At the end of the day, it'll be our Staff with something to really smile about. They should enjoy the Good Press while they have it.
  17. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 02:00 PM) Great game Jose!! Way to go Big Jim!! Do we have any nicknames going for Thome yet? Did he ever have one? I heard some people calling him a Lumberjack.
  18. Oh, I found the Thomas-Ventura fight. Heh.
  19. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:05 PM) WTF? The guy snaps one time in LA and now he is Jekyll and Hyde? I would have to say that this was one time that Robin lost his cool, not a good example of what his temper is like when he loses it. I cannot recall Robin ever acting like this in a White Sox uniform. In fact, the only time I can remember him fighting was the infamous Nolan Ryan incident and when he got into it with Thomas in the dugout. So funny I forgot to laugh. Robin Ventura got into it with Frank Thomas? What happened?
