  1. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 09:55 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=260415104 Gooch's play was #2 on Sportscenters top 10, #1 was Jackie Robinson. Thank you.
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 10:21 PM) If it helps get you over the hump, you go for it. Usually I agree with that. But top-flight prospects for half-a-season? Giving up the future for VERY short-term results? In Oakland's case with Zito, I just wouldn't want to give up the future for three months of work. Four if you happen to be in the playoffs, but still.
  3. If I were a GM, I wouldn't want to rent Zito for one year and then have him sign with New York at the end of the season. I'd hold onto my prospects in that case.
  4. QUOTE(Misplaced_Sox @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 04:43 PM) I really dont like how Widger calls games... hes a good back up but it seems he keeps the picthers in one dimension of their game... I dont know I know Aj likes to goat batters and have the pitchers saw them off, you can defiantly tell the difference in how the 2 call games.... But I agree with Vasquez in that he needs to set up his "pitches" more. He has great stuff but when you show the same pitch over and over, great movement or not, good hitters figure it out. But I am really happy with him overall despite the bad outing. He has real great movement and his arm looks REAL live so early in the season. Agreed. I much prefer Pierzynski. He knows the AL very, very well and adapts accordingly.
  5. Anyone got a link to where I can see Iguchi's throw?
  6. I'm a left-leaner, too. But I hate Colin Powell. As to these charges, I think it's obvious to anyone with a brain that Donald Rumsfeld half-assed the War Effort because he thought we could do it "on the cheap," spend less money, and use the "minimal" number of troops. In so doing, he assumed that somehow AMERICAN MIGHT alone would subdue such a large nation and occupy it. If there were justice in the world, Rumsfeld would be on his ass somewhere and not in the Pentagon anymore.
  7. QUOTE(Mheil1121 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 09:10 PM) Hey I just signed up and I'm a big time Sox fan. I was just wondering what pitches Logan throws. I've been at school the times he's pitched so I am not sure. Thanks in advance. The best pitches in the world!
  8. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 09:36 PM) ^ Did you buy any concessions? Soulless if he did...
  9. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) It is still to early this season, but I'll admit hearing C-Lee rob a home run with his defense and then hitting a game winner today, has me wondering who did better in the trade. Podsednik has stolen homeruns before. We did better. For one, how many World Series homeruns has Carlos Lee hit?
  10. You're just jealous. I'm not precisely sure what of, but you are.
  11. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 06:14 PM) Frank is just about done boys and girls. I called it long ago. You're such a cynic. Thomas is in his prime!
  12. DJ just read "Dia del Nino" as "Die-Uh del Nino." Hahaha! I luuuv it when people mispronounce things.
  13. I hate it when people walk Thome. We should...break Shelton's face in response.
  14. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 12:33 PM) LOL. AJ dropped the f bomb swinging at the third strike. I love him when he's grumpy.
  15. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 12:31 PM) Garland has to get through at least five. We could really use six innings out of him. Just get it to Thornton and--gulp--Logan with at least a five run lead. Yeah! Logan! This is the type of situation where it's "safe" to put him out, no?
  16. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 12:20 PM) That is crazy. As amazing as Thome has been, Shelton has been better. That's nuts. Who's been walked more? I know Thome was intentionally walked a few times against the Tribe, and I think they did in KC, too. I love Jermaine Dye's throwing arm.
  17. Bean Shelton next time. Thome needs to hit another homerun today.
  18. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 12:14 PM) Was it a homer in any other park? Yes. Much like the high one to Center Field yesterday that reached the Warning Track which would've been a homer anywhere else. This weekend's going to be a happy one for Thome in Chicago, I'm sure.
  19. I absolutely hate it when Thome hits a shot that hits the top of the wall or barely, barely misses. Podsednik scores on a Thome double.
