White Sox vs. Indians
We have had winning run in scoring position last four innings with nothing to show for it.

White Sox vs. Indians
This game is a great example why all my partners in my season tickets don't want to renew next year.

White Sox vs. Indians
Hopefully the bullpen didn't check out mentally after thinking they had it wrapped up last inning.

Getting over .500 is apparently an impossible dream this year.

White Sox vs. Indians
It is time for this team to send a message that performance will get rewarded with playing time...pack your bags to AAA or the DL take your pick...Dunn, Rios, Beckham bye bye.

walking guys with worse batting stats than Morel is not conducive to winning!

3.5 Games Out
We have the toughest remaining schedule of the three, detroit the easiest...but Detroit is as good a finisher as we are at beating the twins in critical games so I like our chances. How about Verlander getting beat and Ubaldo getting beat on the same night and we go to be 2.5 back, 2 in the loss column on both DET/CLE!!

Where are the Sox....
We would also be in first if Pierre could catch fly balls and Thornton was ready to pitch in April. If we are going to make a run, Dunn should not be in the lineup.

Postseason Invoice
Seems like they are sending these out earlier than in years past. I wonder if MLB determines the timing and how close you need to be to be in contention or if each team determines this on their own. Regardless there should be a rule that if you are under .500 they don't send you the playoff invoice! I would guess they lose at least 25% of ST holders this year.

8/9 Gamethread Sox vs Baltimore
We don't like to make any games easy (other than Peavy's 7-0, 3-hitter).

Dear Mr. Reinsdorf.
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 3, 2011 -> 05:08 PM) It is a real concern that is completely glossed over by the melt it down crowd. Even after a minimal move like the Jackson deal, there were already people starting to talk about White Flag trades. Because of the history of this organization, you can't sell off everything, and expect people to show up. I'm not even talking about the 10% drop. I am talking about a massive drop off. If we sold off completely the season ticket base would drop by a large percentage, as would the payroll. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to have seen a $70 to $75 million payroll in 2012. In our case that would mean Dunn, Rios, and maybe Konerko somehow. That number would death spiral until our farm system started producing. Which if you are talking about a real turnover, you would be talking about 3 to 5 years, if it worked. This is exactly right, payroll will be down in the $70s if we don't get into contention and fool people into putting down playoff deposits. That being said I am not opposed to dropping payroll and going young as the division will still be winnable even without a huge payroll (but based on the young talent we have seen in our system they don't produce at a MLB level). It will likely be a 5-year rebuilding project and a lot of 15-20,000 attendance nights (I mean only drawing 25,000 for a Friday night fireworks game against Boston is just silly).

Tiggers @ Sox 7/27/11 Gamethread (1:10 CT)
Soriano is a DH and breaking down, much smaller market for him. Both are untradeable so not worth arguing over. DE AZA + PITCHING = WINS... Would have been nice to take all three, but the Ozzie likes to handicap us one game a series.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 02:55 PM) Pitching change for the third out. I am always worried we are messing with success in these situations. But, I guess it has been succesful too I don't like it either. Sale was on a roll let him close it out.
