I think most of us see a player who hit .151 in 2019, didn’t make an active roster in 2020, and didn’t make an active roster in 2021. He’s here cause an injury to Eloy; then Engel, and THEN Hamilton. We’d much rather see the at bats given to a highly regarded rookie. Do we expect him to come up and just mash? No, but if not now then send him down, he shouldn’t have even made the opening day roster.

Nick Williams isn’t going to be winning any baseball games this year (he didnt make a roster last year nor this year). If Vaughn hits as anticipated he could be a huge addition to a lineup that is hurting for power and consistency. Obviously we don’t know if he will produce, but why not see what he’s got? If they are going to continue to use him this way, like others have said he’s better off being sent down when the minor league season kicks off. But I’ll argue that they did the same thing last year (and year before) with their DH position when they could have seen what Collins had OR Yermin.

The dude didn’t make any active rosters coming out of this ST OR last year. The fact that he’s playing over Vaughn (who granted isn’t a LF) is asinine. One player is suppose to be a part of our future, another is in likes of Delmonico and Palka.

I’m not as optimistic as you. Besides the Lynn CG, this team ain’t making any progress, especially with lineups like this being thrown out there.

I hope we go at least 1 - 3 in this series.

Definitely not defending the bullpen my guy! They have sucked a fat one. But the situational hitting, errors, and lack of fundamentals are just as worrisome. We won’t be winning games scoring 3-4 runs.

They blew this game by scoring 1 run off of Minor. This vaunted offense against lefties.

Besides the bullpen issues, the errors and lack of hitting with RISP has been a staple of the team for the past few years.

Even with the full team healthy, they wouldn’t be able to win with all these errors and the bullpen shitting the bed.
