  1. You know the offense is off when they can't hit a dead on fastball, let alone nail it.
  2. Haha, Gameday didn't even put that ball on the line. It was clearly, completely in the strikezone.
  3. This ump is horrible. I can't stand this, even when my team is taking advantage of it. It just ruins the game.
  4. Why the hell did he take that.. wow, what an awful umpire.
  5. Someone has to get in his face about it. THIS is Walker's job. Let's see if he can fix it.
  6. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:06 PM) not good when a MLer is pulling his head off the ball... For real, completely turning his head..
  7. Gameday says AJ struck out on a foul tip.. then how did Jones steal? Gameday fail.
  8. Still not comfortable with AJ bunting... whose idea is that?
  9. What a tough, tough outing for Gavin. This offense owes him a run.. someone step up.
  10. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) The Sox game will be on CSN after the Cubs are done, meaning I get to watch it on my TV and not through a 4 inch videoshare.
  11. QUOTE (icroca @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:40 PM) The better looking one. That's fine. I don't need to look good.
  12. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:39 PM) Also, enough with "cinch it up and hunker down." "Strap it down" never sits well with me either.
  13. QUOTE (icroca @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) Cy Masterson Wow, my old gig. Maybe you really ARE some kind of clone.
  14. Hawk's complaining about the umps is already annoying me.
  15. Wow, what an awful AB. And wow, just like that, it's a basehit.
  16. QUOTE (earthshiner @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:34 PM) I guess I'll take credit for that Fair enough. But we're sharing it then.
  17. Look at that, I get to start watching the game and we get a hit. YES!
  18. QUOTE (earthshiner @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:32 PM) hey tito: http://www.atdhe.net/16958/watch-indians-vs-white-sox Oh how much I love you right now... YES!
  19. QUOTE (icroca @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:31 PM) Use a proxy. Problem solved. I'm also not paying any money for 4 or 5 games a year. It just sucks that one of them happened to be this early.
  20. I've seen too many "ground out softly"'s on my screen. What's going on? Someone take a good swing!
  21. QUOTE (icroca @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:27 PM) MLB.tv is your friend. Can't. I live in the blackout area. I get CSN and WGN (no WCIU), but I don't get any CSN+ channel. I have a listing for it on channel 68, but 68 is white noise.
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:26 PM) Well Quentin has shown (albeit a small sample size) that when he's healthy he's an elite run producer (or near elite). The guy has ass-loads of power and will put up a High OPS over a full season. Even last year when he was completely injured he had a respectable OPS. Quentin also looked healthy and raked this spring (and I mean he looked real good). He might be a little off this second, but again, this is the time where the bats tend to slow down and the pitchers have the advantage. The Sox have things to be worried about, but not this early. If this team is healthy, they will win the division (it might take an acquisition to put them over the top) but mark my words, a healthy White Sox team wins this division. The front 4 is just so f***ing good (partly because I like Gavin as much as I do). I in no way disagree with you about Quentin, I was just making a point.
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:24 PM) I'm not saying it is all going to work out perfectly, but you guys are acting like we have the worse offense ever. We have what should be an elite pitching staff and if you combine an elite pitching staff with a league average offense we will be a playoff team. And if we are in that position, I think we will see Kenny tweak the roster. That might mean Berkman, it might mean Adrian Gonzalez, it might mean someone else (Manny??). Who knows. But as of now, we have one of the better teams in the AL and a team that should contend for a title. And we have a GM who will ensure we make the necessary pickups when we can. I might not have done everything the way Kenny has, but it is a lot easier to find a bat to put in your order than it is to find a rotation like we have. And lets be honest, this offense will be heavily reliant on some of our young guys (Beckham/Rios/Quentin/Ramirez). And all of those guys have the potential to be pretty good major league players at there respected positions. Dye is still a FA.. We need to reinstate the green rule because I thought that Jones made a good throw based on two of those posts. It sucks not being able to see games this early in the year.
