  1. I would get behind a Quentin deal. To me, there's no guarantee CQ is ever going to produce like he did 2 years ago again. I'd take Agon 100 times out of 100 over Quentin.
  2. Call it a hunch, but I voted Lillibridge. Ozzie's undying love with finally show through.
  3. I fully expect Jake to perform 4 K's an inning, 10 innings a game, 8 games a week. Too high of expectations?
  4. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Dec 19, 2009 -> 03:43 PM) Again, I think we have to ditch konerko. The padres don't want pk and his salary, so we have to do it in a three way. If we involve another team, we can get them to throw a couple prospects at san diego, and it works like this: We get agon for pk and two prospects Sandiego get 4 prospects for agon Third team get pk for two prospects Tons of teams are in a position to trade a couple prospects for a good veteran bat. this is themost realistic scenario in my mind. I want this to happen. Whats the chance it does?
  5. So, we'd have Rios, Crisp, Matsui, and Quentin battling for 3 spots?
  6. I'm fine with it. Sell high on Carlos, since there's no guarantee he'll do anything close to 2008 again.
  7. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Dec 8, 2009 -> 12:21 AM) That staring rotation would be just filthy. Probably the best ever.
  8. QUOTE (PlunketChris @ Dec 7, 2009 -> 02:17 PM) This post is best made without the use of green, considering the discussions that happen on this board regarding Center Field almost daily. Very well played. Definitely. Someone put this one up for that vote crap we do here.
  9. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Dec 6, 2009 -> 02:58 PM) The Chicago White Sox are not the kind of organization that runs garbage players out as everyday starters in Center Field, sorry Andrew. Hahahahaaha. Post of the year for me. Stone-cold sarcasm.
  10. 100% positive on both of my answers. Yes and yes. He will be a 1st ballot HOFer
  11. QUOTE (tommy @ Nov 14, 2009 -> 02:01 PM) While he is only .335 lifetime OBP guy I think he can solve the leadoff problem while being a huge upgrade at RF, I would look into this for sure if I'm KW. No thanks, that's awful. Pass.
  12. QUOTE (bschmaranz @ Nov 11, 2009 -> 06:47 PM) By midnight tonight both will be gone, along with Buehrle. And we're signing Roberto Alomar. And Carl Everett.
  13. Amazing signing when it happened, but it needed to end. Dye put up one of the worst second halves of baseball I've ever seen. Will always be one of my favs though. Fun guy to watch, and he delivered when it counted!
  14. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 5, 2009 -> 11:07 AM) Well he's not Kotsay's replacement. And I am completely fine with this. Gives PK a legit backup and he can still play the OF in a pinch. Solid veteran, good for the young guys and the clubhouse. Kudos Kenny Beat me to it :-/
  15. cst_sox: Sox have announced that Mark Kotsay was given a one-year, $1.5 million deal to return to the South Side as a key reserve. /end replacement of Kotsay talk he's back, YAY!
  16. My hat goes off to Scott Podsednik. What he did in the 2009 season was truly incredible. For him to be pretty much down and out, signing late in the season, and getting thrown into a lineup with so many holes, he has been one of my favorite free agent signings in a while. I was against it at first but he definitely changed my mind. So, Scotty Pods, thank you! BECKHAM WOO! Edit: Pods D was awful, this is mainly just from the offensive prospective.
  17. Already been discussed, already been trashed. If this happens, I'm done with the White Sox until KW and everyone else associated with him is gone. But, that said, I'm fairly sure KW isn't that stupid.
  18. Buehrle kind of exploded after his perfect game. I don't recall many (if any) dominating games since then. What the hell happened?
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 20, 2009 -> 08:06 PM) That is just dumb. We aren't trading a better pitcher, for a nutcase with a worse contract. If we make that trade, I'm done with the White Sox, for real. That said, I have no doubt in my mind this is complete BS.
  20. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Sep 19, 2009 -> 08:37 PM) What's his pitch count? 73
  21. Peavy just owned the Royals. 2 K's, a flyout to center. Both on nasty pitches.
  22. Lol, wow. Filthy. That's all I can say.
