  1. 2 on, no out, and we don't score. Story of the year. We're continually playing ourselves out of this division. It's unbelievable.
  2. Definitely feels like a game where our SP is lights out and the bullpen blows it late because the offense can't score more than a f***ing run. Please please please let me be wrong though. We NEED to beat them.
  3. Count me as one of the biggest fans of his departure.
  4. QUOTE (Jeremy @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 03:49 PM) Josh is up to .302/.380/.556 so I guess this thread was every bit as premature as it seemed when it was started. Glad to hear it. I hope he continues to rake so he has some trade value.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 09:57 PM) Just got home. How did Garcia look? Pretty awful.
  6. Ugh this team is 90% frustrating, 10% fun right now. 90 errors?! NINETY ERRORS!!??
  7. Thank the lord. Nix can hit homers, thats for sure.
  8. QUOTE (DonkeyKongerko @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 09:39 PM) I actually came across this a few days ago when I was reading about Rios and Vernon Wells. He really IS the worst everyday player in MLB: http://www.battersbox.ca/article.php?story=20090812201238177 Dye and his -17 URZ is pretty sweet.
  9. Bannister has a 12+ ERA in his last two starts. I expect AT LEAST 8 runs before he exits the game, or else this is considered a fail on the offense.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 09:36 PM) Dewayne Wise. Okay, starters. Wise isn't a starter. And Rios doing well to impress the crowd.
  11. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 09:33 PM) Great job, Buehrle! You just gave up a two-run bomb to literally, the worst player in the MLB! No way is he a worse hitter than Uribe. No f'in way.
  12. luckily, i get to go out to the bars and dont get to watch this (already) depressing/frustrating game.
  13. QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 10:09 PM) Carlos Quentin (lacks range, everything else average) I'll have to go ahead and say Carlos has an above average arm. I remember one of his first games for the team in '08 when he made the catch in left and rocketed the ball to Paulie at first to double the guy off. That throw alone ranks him with an above average arm, other than that, your list was pretty solid. Loved the shot at Pods, lol.
  14. under. jimmy's a tank, he'll be fine. besides, he doesn't need feet when he hits the ball over the fence every AB. JI JIM THOME
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 06:38 PM) Where was Matt Thornton? This one really hurt. Clearly Bobby was the better choice. /green
  16. I'm all for trading Bobby while he still has some value. Get it done, Kenny!
  17. And it's over. f***ing christ, Bobby. So predictable.
  18. 3 pitches, 2 outs. Looking good so far *crosses fingers*
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 06:35 PM) Broadcasters on the Oakland side are b****ing like crazy about that call. Crosby probably pushed him off. You don't have sideways momentum sliding straight towards the bag. 100% pushed him off.
  20. Bobby in in a non-save situation... always makes me nervous.
