  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 01:12 PM) He could go 5 for 5 or 0 for 7 with 9 LOB and Ozzie would use him exactly the same. Might as well hope for the 5 for 5 so we can try to win some games. The way I see it: if he goes 5 for 5, that gives him maybe an extra 3-4 games before he gets demoted, if he goes 0-7, then it could happen tomorrow.
  2. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 01:10 PM) So if the Sox win today and the Tigers lose today (down 3 to Bawston now) the Sox are merely 2.5 games out of first. God Bless the AL Central. But it's a young pitcher, winning today is gonna be tough. Let's hope to reverse the trend of getting absolutely owned by new guys.
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 01:08 PM) You're a great Sox fan. *facepalm* Oh well.
  4. QUOTE (103 mph screwball @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 12:49 PM) If Anderson is sick then Wise has a chance to shut me up. I hope he goes 5 for 5. I really, really hope he doesn't go 5-5. That would just give Ozzie a reason to keep him playing.
  5. Slayer just announced the name of their new album... coincidence?
  6. Welcome my son.. welcome, to, the machine!
  7. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 10:57 PM) Line-up for April 10, 2010: Danks CF Beckham 3B Quentin RF Dye DH Konerko 1B Ramirez SS Pierzynski C Anderson LF Getz 2B We can only dream.
  8. Holy crap, I'm so excited! Definitely an exciting day for White Sox fans. See ya later Betemit! Hello GORDAN f***ING BECKHAM!
  9. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 08:53 PM) i mean, he literally said that the only reason he plays wise is because he likes him, wants him to play, and wants him to get at bats. absolutely NO baseball-related reason. lol. Yeah, he pretty much just summed up exactly why I hate him. Thanks for helping me out, Oz!
  10. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 08:38 PM) done that before, keep pressure on it for as long as you can, is pretty much all you can do preferably with an icecube Awesome, I'll try that. Thanks. Oh, and this ump is AWFUL.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 08:39 PM) Evander Holyfield's at the Braves/Cubs game, so why don't you call him? Hahahahah. Awesome.
  12. So I cut my ear a bit with my razor earlier, it's been bleeding for over 90 minutes. Not bad, but it won't stop. Any suggestions?
  13. This ump is awful. He's squeezing the s*** out of Clayton.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 05:56 PM) I have no confidence that the Sox will handle the Contreras situation properly. Agreed. I'm sure somehow they'll find a way to take Clayton out and insert Jose.
  15. QUOTE (tommy @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 05:35 PM) The infamous empty post...
  16. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 05:13 PM) What Twitter? I don't personally have one, and I wanted to share that with all of you. I'll let the mods decide whether or not a thread is pointless. I'm just giving my interpretation of his comment. I don't mind having threads like this. If you don't want to read them, don't.
  17. QUOTE (tommy @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 05:12 PM) I can't imagine they would put him back in the starting rotation. I still think they should leave him in the majors and have DJ Carrasco start one of the Monday games. I assume you mean minors? And I agree. DJ should start. I don't want to see the Count in the starting rotation until at least after the ASB.
  18. QUOTE (tommy @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 05:05 PM) It's been known for a while they are bringing him up to SPOT START one of the double header games on Monday. So what happens after that though? Bullpen duty?
  19. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 04:53 PM) I got it, it just seemed irrelevant to what I was talking about. He's saying this thread is pointless and if you wanted to say it, you should have said it on Twitter.
  20. If he replaces Clayton Richard...... wow. I expect the end of Soxtalk.
  21. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Jun 3, 2009 -> 03:12 PM) He's referring to me. I'm not saying Ozzie shouldn't ever be commended, I'm just fed up with people who have to change the subject, defend Ozzie pointlessly and can't just ADMIT that Ozzie makes a lot of really COLOSSAL f***ups. I know, I'm on your side. I think Ozzie really isn't a good manager. But there's no way hes to blame for every loss, and on the same token, he doesn't deserve all the credit for the wins either. To me, it's like Mike Sherman's last two years in Green Bay. He went 12-4, then followed it up with a 4-12 season. He was a horrible, horrible coach for both the years, but we had a good enough team to overcome it in the 12-4 one. Just because you have a bad manager doesn't mean you're going to lose.
