  1. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 08:16 PM) I luuuuuv Widger. He's still 0-for at the plate.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:57 PM) I'm pretty sure if you pitch the last 3 innings of a win, you get a save. It has to do with the ability of the tieing run to come to the plate while you are pitching in a lead. I.E. in the 9th, if you are up by 3, the third batter is theoretically the tieing run, so you get a save. If you come in in the 9th, with the bases loaded and no outs, and you didn't load the bases, you can be up 6 and still get the save.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:54 PM) The funny thing is that Logan gets a save for tonight. I agree.. I forgot we got the 2 runs after he began pitching. Therefore it was 3 inning save because he came in up by 8, kinda. My bad.
  4. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:50 PM) Yes but Mark Grace also kicked ass on a few occations. I want a postion player to pitch damnit, I really don't care who it is. THOME! Nuff said.
  5. Wow, Boone Logan is lucky we got stellar D. He got a free terrible inning paid for by Vasquez, and he gets a great DP there.
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:41 PM) I like Boone, I dislike his inability to pitch at the Major League level. Thank you for correcting my statement, because that is what I meant. Hes not ready for the majors yet, not even close.
  7. Boone is terrible. I'm sorry. He's thrown way more balls than strikes, hes hit two people, hes given up some hits. Blah blah blah, rust, he shouldn't be on this MLB roster. Anyways, good thing we had some offense tonight so Boone can't blow this game (hopefully), although I wouldn't put it passed him the way he's throwing now *knocks on wood*
  8. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:01 PM) Nostradaumus everybody. Like I said on the thread earlier this morning, the one on the positives of the game, I was just very, very upset last night, and I said some things I wish I could take back.. please, forgive me!!!
  9. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:59 PM) This has to be Javy's last inning. Get some cobwebs off of Logan. Naw, let Javy get his ERA under 3.00...
  10. ROSS GLOAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE DOES EXIST!
  11. Oh, he just missed that through the hole.
  12. QUOTE(sti3 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:48 PM) Yes I'm padding my post count but is it me or have we already had more laughers so far this season than all of last season? Definately, and this is a major confidence booster. Who cares about padding post count, thats what I do period! I gotta catch up to the guys with like 15K!
  13. BRETT FAVRE IS COMING BACK!!!!!!!! I'm happy!
  14. Two HBP for Javy, whats he doing!? J/K he looks great.
  15. Two HBP for Javy, whats he doing!? J/K he looks great.
  16. QUOTE(Purdue129 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:22 PM) Did... graduated just about 2 years ago now. Ah, cool. I'm starting there this fall. Purdue Engineering Class of 2010!
  17. Wagner's WHIP in 2005: .84 (38 saves) Ryan's WHIP in 2005: 1.14 (36 saves) Hoffman's WHIP in 1998: .85 (53 saves) Todd Jones' WHIP in 2005: 1.04 (42 saves) Gagne's WHIPS in 2003/2004: Jenks' WHIP in 2005: 1.25 Small sample size, but the ones I consider elite all had sub 1 WHIP. Not too important, but I thought I'd point it out.
  18. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:21 PM) What are your thoughts on Bobby Jenks? I don't put Bobby Jenks anywhere near the elite closers at this point in his career. Not at all.
  19. Come on, give Jimmy something to crank!
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:18 PM) 70.2 IP, 103 K, 2.29 ERA 1.14 WHIP, 42 SV in his first full season as closer. I think a 1.14 WHIP is a bit high for an elite closer. Thats like putting a man on every time you come out for the 9th. Hmmm.
