Off-topic: Here's some updates on Ross Gload from the Sox mailbag writer Scott Merkin: "Gload is a tough call for Guillen, primarily because his main position is first base, and he's backing up two of the strongest offensive players currently working in the American League in Konerko and Thome. Although he has not been used much, actually hardly at all, Gload still is a viable member of the team and fits in as probably the funniest guy in a clubhouse full of characters." OUCH, Gooch almost made that a great AB.
