  1. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 07:56 PM) Is that Kyle Orton in the stand (can be seen on closeups of RH batters) Orton went to Purdue, my college!! Woo, I hate the Bears though. Pack fan for life.
  2. QUOTE(Brian @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 07:53 PM) Sox marketing > Cubs marketing
  3. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 07:51 PM) im making a bold predition. brian anderson will strike out tonight.
  4. Only been two innings, but Mark seems to have brought his A game, but then again, when DOESN'T he bring his A game! GO BUEHRLE!
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 07:49 PM) A big strike zone favors the Sox tonight. How so? Santana doesn't even have to hit the zone to get a K now. I dont see the logic, especially since Buehrle is pretty accurate.
  6. Well, with Santana getting bulls*** called strikes, I have a feeling we're in for a LONG night. That pitch was so far outside, I can't even believe the ump considering calling that.
  7. Yeah, SI is pretty bad about showing their biases.
  8. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 10:12 PM) What about that catcher from Japan the Mariners got: Jinjo or something. He's started off very hot. This opens up a whole new argument about Japanese (or other foreign players) eligibility. I say let 'em have it: rookie is rookie. I think its closer to Khojimo or something. He's badass.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 05:52 PM) I'm not even sure if it's even worth responding to this. You're going to judge them off of 3 starts? Ignore thier track records and judge them off of 3 starts? Johan had a 3.55 ERA in April last year and an April ERA of 5.40. The guy starts off weak every year, there's no reason to freak out about him now. Wait until he begins to settle in and he'll be unhittable again. Yes, right now, I will take Buehrle over Santana. RIGHT NOW. Once Santana settles in, I'm sure he'll be my pick. But until he shows me he has found his grove, I'm taking Buehrle. Like I said, I'm not taking Buehrle's career over Santana's at all, but as of this moment, Buehrle is pitching better.
  10. I missed the game today (damn school), and I haven't seen the highlights on any sports channels yet. But, from what I read, Vazquez PWNED the Royals! WOOT!

As of right now, Santana isnt anywhere near Buehrle's league. Buehrle has dominated in his two wins, and Santana has looked horrid/not hisself in his two losses. RIGHT NOW, I would take Buehrle any day of the week. But there's no way I'd take Buehrle's career over Santana's..
  12. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 05:16 PM) It's just a matter of time until we lose 3 of 5 and people start crying again. Barring injuries, this is a 100 win team. No doubt in my mind. Word.
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 02:15 PM) Based on a quick Google search, and the fact that it fits with my memories, Jenks came up on July 5, 2005. He threw some innings while a couple guys were on the DL, and he eventually took Shingo's spot when Shingo fell apart in his last shot right after the AS break, so he stayed up even when Marte & El Duque were boht healthy. Looks like it was infact Shingo, though I thought it was Hermanson.
  14. And Freddy restarts with a strike! Ding! OUT!
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 02:31 PM) I love seeing how the Huxtable's adventures end. I got to see the fat guy on the Fresh Prince swear in one of the credits-rolling screw ups.
  16. Game on, Freddy is getting Ready! Get Ready Freddy!
  17. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 02:25 PM) 3way tie with a possibility of a 4 way if Minny wins later on today. Yeah just noticed. Orgy time in the AL Central!
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 02:24 PM) 3 way tie again, or would the tiggies be a game out with Tribe and us tied? It'd be a three-some at the top of the AL Central.
  19. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 02:20 PM) I've got the Cosby show here. Ah, then they regionalize what they play, for some reason. I'm watching my man Will Smith!
  20. QUOTE(hi8is @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) i cant believe my sunday afternoon went from watching my coveted world champion chicago white sox MASH THE LIVING s*** OUT of the blue f***s to watching the god damned cosby show.... no offense to those who like it of course.... ive just never had a spot for that show in my heart. =P that said..... WHEN THE f***ING SKY CLEARS UP AND THE RAIN SOAKS IN YOU JAYS BETTER GET READY FOR A BEATING BETTER THEN YOU GOT LAST NIGHT FROM THE 50 DOLLAR WHORE YOU COLLECTIVLY uhhhhhhhhh HAD TEA WITH! RIGHT FELLAS! WHOS WITH ME? I only glanced at it, but wasn't it the French Prince of Belair? I thought I saw Will Smith.
  21. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) Trust me, the game starts over. A suspended game is another story, but rain delays don't count as a suspended game (unless it occurs after the 5th inning). Alright, I guess Im confusing it with the rules of my local house league or something... Well, good news is, its a day game, and it stopped raining here (northwest of Chicago).
