  1. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 12, 2007 -> 01:05 AM) One of those names will fall once Lance Broadway makes it to the majors. I'm almost positive of that. I'm almost positive you've lost your brain piece but I hope you are all sorts of right.
  2. Hahaha, that was pretty hilarious. Its sucks yeah but I can't help but laugh.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 11:27 PM) Quite an interesting guest on Letterman. I was so impressed with Howard's segment on Real Sports. Talking about thome(good things) as soon as I read that.
  4. QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 10:26 PM) I've been distracted the last half hour or so. I look up and I see Uribe, Cintron and Mack in the same game. PLEASE don't tell me Mack is in center or I will seriously kill someone. Hmmm, who would you kill? Ah, nevermind, grinderstad is in center.
  5. Worst swing in the history of baseball ok at least this year Then he comes through. Nice job uribe
  6. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 05:39 PM) How do we know the divorce isn't deserved? What if Jose was cheating on her? Would you still feel bad for him? /Devil's Advocate. I tried this already and I am worse for it. Its all her fault!!!!!!!!111111oneoneone11!!1
  7. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 02:21 AM) Really? I don't feel anybody ever "deserves" that type of emotional pain at any time; rather, it happens out of necessity. I doubt she was happy to be file the divorce papers, and whether she put it on him when she did doesn't change the fact that the timing is horrible for him. What you are doing is speculating about something you have no details about. That is wrong. It could be mutual, it could be on her, and it could be on him but something he has no power over (such as being on the road 4-6 months out of the year). Speculating, on this subject, is wrong, period. Yes, really. I guess you live in a world without revenge. People who at one time were married don't do things with their brains, they do them at least partly with their hearts. If he wronged her, he deserved to be wronged as well. No, what everyone is doing is speculating that its all her fault. Almost everyone is getting on his wifes case with no information. I proposed both options in my post by also saying, "Maybe its all her fault." Get off your high horse. Hell, we don't even know for sure that this happened at all.
  8. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 01:24 AM) no one is questioning why, just merely the timing. If you had a speech to give in front of 1,500 people within your company, and your wife came up to you 15 minutes before hand and handed you divorce papers, I think you'd be a bit shaken up. Hence, why she could have atleast held off for like a day. He would deserve the timing if he did something really crappy.
  9. Maybe he screwed around on her or treated her like crap, jeez. Maybe its all her fault. I just wouldn't blame her if the former is the case and you guys shouldn't be assuming anything at this point. Editted for curses.
  10. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 7, 2007 -> 05:38 PM) With the bases loaded, those are probably the last two guys I want up there. They seem to be the guys who try to be heroes too much. Crede might be the first guy I'd pick. If not, hes up there and his .360+ bases loaded BA is pretty damn good.
  11. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 7, 2007 -> 05:25 PM) Can someone explain exactly what just happened for those of us relying on gameday? They tried to pick off pods at second. The throw hit second base and went into center. Pods ran from 2nd to home, with the throw coming just a little too late. Mauer blocked the plate nicely, it looks like pods might not of even touched the bag. Regardless, another run for the sox.
  12. QUOTE(HeGone33 @ Apr 7, 2007 -> 05:17 PM) Confidence, confidence, confidence............I hope all these guys are gaining some today! Can we get an insurance run please?
  13. What the hell are these guys talking about? If they wanted someone for their move it wouldn't be thorton. His move sucks.
  14. QUOTE(shoota @ Apr 7, 2007 -> 05:06 PM) And I compliment him on making the pitching decisions that allow for that shutout. I for one, don't like it at all and I don't think we have ozzie to thanks for the results. I wouldn't put sisco in the game with a man on 3rd, up by one.
  15. QUOTE(shoota @ Apr 7, 2007 -> 05:03 PM) I like how Guillen is running his pitching staff so far today. Anybody can like it when they combine for a shutout.
  16. QUOTE(max power @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 07:27 AM) I have a good feeling about javy tomorrow for some reason. Crap, I meant today. I haven't been to sleep yet? So do I edit that or not? Check it out, it was a prediction right?
  17. I have a good feeling about javy tomorrow for some reason. Crap, I meant today. I haven't been to sleep yet? So do I edit that or not?
  18. One of the most hated in baseball right? Maybe that's the angle?
  19. QUOTE(Drew @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 09:33 PM) Hawk Harrelson is no Harry Caray. Thank god for that.
  20. The thread start made some valid points for once about Hawk. Usually people just hate announcers for no reason. Some people cannot be satisfied, and say something general and for all practical purposes meaningless like "he sucks." Personally, I have never been one to criticize the announcers because it is a very difficult job to improvise for 3 hours a day virtually everyday of the week, something no one else in television has to do. I am not sure that hawk has a choice in the matter. When I watch a cubs game its the same way. I find myself disagreeing with the announcers all the time. They are employed by their ball club, so some bias should be expected. A replacement for hawk would probably be the same. I guess what I am saying is, at least he doesn't sound like kermit the frog.
  21. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 05:19 PM) Just got back from the game. I can't recall being at a game where the Sox had so many hard-hit balls that didn't amount to anything. The Cleveland outfield is where our extra base hits go to die, apparently. And that 9th inning was friggin' sweet. So was Masset. I would have been sweating mark's arm injury the whole time. Did they make any type of announcement at the game?
  22. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 04:04 PM) homer simpson -esqe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILYPQ_Qv0v0
