  1. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 08:44 PM) Apparently Aaron Rowand doesn't count either. The jury's still out on Chris Young. As it is on Honel, to a lesser extent. And to say that McCullough and Broadway are busts. They were late first round draft picks, not many top-line starters come out of the 20-30 picks in the first. Borchard was the big miss, although Stumm and Honel have hurt a lot too. Heck, add in Danny Wright, Rauch, Barcelo, Corwin Malone, Brian West, Myette, Matt Ginter, Guerrier...lots of disasters on the pitching front. Can't every competitive team save the marlins list just as many failures from the first round? I think this is good for brian. He needs at bats. He wasn't improving on the bench here.
  2. Contreras hasn't let a run up yet and people here are trying to find out what's wrong with him. gawd damn
  3. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 06:07 PM) LINEUPS. Erstad, CF Iguchi, 2B Thome, DH PK, 1B Dye, RF AJ, C Crede, 3B Mack, LF Uribe, SS Count Pitchin' This should be the lineup everyday.
  4. I honestly believe that ozzie didn't want boone to leave the game unscathed.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 09:39 PM) Brian Anderson is one of the worst overall hitters I've seen during my years of watching the Sox. I still think joe crede was worse
  6. At least our pitching future is looking bright
  7. Finally they give us the low down on jermaine dye. Diagnosis: "a little ouchie back"
  8. someone tell danks he looks like a slob please
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 08:26 PM) Have they given any update on Dye, and how long he's expected to be out? I haven't even heard his name.
  10. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 08:18 PM) Bad swing by Anderson, but can you blame him when he starts once every blue moon. Apparently everyone here can, yes.
  11. QUOTE(gettysburg32 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 07:58 PM) What did Danks and Rodriguez just say to each other Rodriguez: If I was still roidin' it would be 4-0 Danks: f*** off, pudge
  12. Its amazing that you guys found a way to argue over nothing.
  13. QUOTE(S720 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 05:59 PM) Dye has some sort of sprain on his hip. This is incredibly depressing.
  14. What's the logic behind putting AJ in the 4 spot over crede? Just another left righty thing? Crede typically has more power.
  15. Its not even close to the best lineup we can put out there but it can still produce.
  16. QUOTE(Wanne @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 01:43 AM) Dude...I think 9 for his last 27 is a nice start. Absolutely. If he can stay consistently around there I might even like him enough to have some confidence in him. Until then I'll just hope for the best.
  17. I don't know how anyone could hate on a grinder who grinds his way- all the way- to the prestigious "player of the game" championship title. QUOTE(Wanne @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 01:02 AM) I don't give a s*** how he started out...which was pretty poor...but if he stays on a clip like this for the remainder of the year...mark my words...he'll have a cult following. It's just the nature of people. Don't you think a player has to do something for the team before the fans of that team accept him as part of it? Sure the fans will root for him while he is batting, but they don't have to like him.
