  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 09:44 AM) So if we are the last wild card we go into Green Bays bracket if we win the wild card weekend game? Ugh, that's not any better. The NFC Superbowl team is going to have to play at Lambeau in January, no good way around that.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 8, 2011 -> 09:34 AM) If people are keeping their money at the biggest banks, it is a trend, and it is meeting demand. Otherwise the local banks would be stealing marketshare in chunks. Having ATMs everywhere is important, which is why people either stay at, or move to, the largest banks. Yeah, if I didn't travel frequently for work I'd have switched away from one of the large national banks by now, but I forget to stop at the ATM before leaving almost every time and need access to cash for food. That said, a majority of my money is at Motorola Employee Credit Union (where my dad used to work) and I handle almost everything electronically via free wire transfers.
  3. I posted this in the financial thread last week:

  5. Definitely looked like a late hit to me
  6. Cutler playing like garbage right now
  7. I accept your apology for claiming to know what her "instinctual response" should be. She was probably asking for it, anyway.
  8. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 08:51 PM) Lol, ok man. I forgot everyone is honorable and trustworthy in what they do....unless you're a white person with money who votes Republican. Tell me more about how you know what her "instinctual response" to being groped should be and how any other reaction proves she's just a in it for the benjamins.
  9. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 08:48 PM) i'm glad I overspent on Vick in my fantasy league. f***ing Matthew Berry Vick's been pretty solid for me this year? edit: nevermind, no he hasn't.
  10. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 08:45 PM) You ever get tired of the snarky responses? It's a way of highlighting some the serious problems I have with your posts.
  11. Money-grubbing whores lying to make Cain look bad and to make a buck! They're so untrustworthy!
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 08:39 PM) Indeed I do. People with money. People who own businesses (in my case bar/restaurants/night clubs) People in positions of power. Happens every single day. Go check the Northern District (Federal Court) website for sex harassment/discrimination claims. Especially against a big employer like the City. You'll see a trend. Not trying to diminish these claims or people who have legitimate claims generally. But you guys are smart, how are you not seeing how questionable this lady is? A couple of anonymous claims come out, and then she feels compelled to break her silence and pile on? And there's no ulterior motive? She just wants to do it for the good of all women? Come on... What's her ulterior motive? What is so shocking that, when a story becomes a national news item, you might feel compelled to speak up about your own experience of being sexually harassed by this creepy man?
  13. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 08:35 PM) No, but that's the point. Her instinctual response to such an "unwelcome" and "offensive" act would have been to say "wtf? get off me!" not remind the guy that she's got a boyfriend. I'm glad you know the "correct" reaction everyone who is sexually harassed should have. It's generally an exploitation of power situation, people can be sexually harassed or even raped even if they don't put on a strong resistance at the time of the incident.
  14. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 05:24 PM) Be sarcastic all you want. The timing of this is incredibly suspect. Just wait until she's on Nancy Grace to further "the cause." What is suspect about the timing? How is this a grab for money? What reason do we have to distrust her? I'm not saying I immediately believe her claims, but given what's been coming out I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt.
  15. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 08:31 PM) Settlements mean absolutely nothing. It's ten times cheaper to pay someone off than to take a case through trial. I do it all the time. Unfortunately that's the way our justice system works. Do you have a client who keeps getting accused of the same thing by different people who don't know each other or about other settlements?
  16. Watching a real offense is fun!
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 07:44 PM) Great start for forte. Fantastic start.
  18. what local channel is broadcasting the bears game tonight?
  19. It's true, all claims of sexual harassment from women are really just money-grabbing attempts from tramps, and their protestations better be immediate screams of anguish and assault otherwise it's BS.
  20. Yeah, twitter has ruined sports "reporting"
  21. What are all those OWS people so angry about?
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 7, 2011 -> 09:01 AM) Doesn't matter, cash and other banks carry fees according to Balta, and so every single industry in the US is a monopoly, so there is no way around the fees, ever. f***. edit: But really, though, credit cards are an oligopolistic industry, and this bill pushed these fees out to the consumer and lead, rather quickly, to their being dropped altogether. You can say that the banks will just find another way to extract wealth from the productive sectors of the economy and there's no way around their vampire-like tactics, but that's really an indictment of banks, not of limiting their abilities to charge a certain fee that is largely hidden from consumers.
