  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 22, 2017 -> 09:16 AM) Huh, what other countries have tanks lined up at presidential speeches and such? seems strange
  2. Here's a redacted email showing when the Trump transition team was asking to use military vehicles in the inaugural parade
  3. Deductibles will increase an average of ~$1500 under the GOP bill I still do not understand why they're pushing this so hard. Yeah yeah, big tax cuts for millionaires, but that can be accomplished without intentionally killing poor people (the end result of their gutting of Medicaid) and blowing up the health insurance market.
  4. Look, we have no evidence that the Russians literally hacked the voting machines, which is the only charge anyone has made and definitely zero people have brought up all of the weird Russian connections, praise for Putin/Russia, softening the GOP platform against Russia, blowing off NATO to go visit Russia, stacking the admin with Russia-friendly guys, constantly lying about contacts with Russians, having paid Russian stooges embedded deep within both the campaign and admin, etc. etc.
  5. Maybe Republicans have a sneaky plan to systematically commit a bunch of voter fraud across the country so they can then point to it as evidence of widespread voter fraud in order to get disenfranchisement measures through the courts?
  6. QUOTE (Tony @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 10:34 PM) Man, your title doesn't even do it justice. Read that entire quote. Yikes.
  7. This is the main takeaway from the Manafort article:
  8. Manafort was paid millions of dollars a year by Russians to push a pro Putin agenda before becoming Trump's campaign manager. https://www.apnews.com/122ae0b5848345faa881...utin-Government
  9. Tillerson took the job because he wife told him to. https://twitter.com/ericgeller/status/844366774246236160
  10. That would be the point though, they wouldn't need to set up different networks because they could just set up in whichever state has the worst regulations and then sell policies in all fifty states from there. Same reason pretty much all credit card are from South Dakota or Delaware: they have the most favorable usury laws.
  11. Insurance across state lines means we all "save" money by every insurer rushing to the state with the most lax laws and offering the worst coverage. If you like your plan, too bad nearly every single one in the country will be cancelled and rewritten in worse terms.
  12. Ivanka is being given a White House office. https://twitter.com/maggieNYT/status/844325752468312068 Despot levels of nepotism

  14. An analysis by WaPo that thinks the laptop ban is just some backdoor protectionism since it only impacts certain airlines. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/monkey-...derlying-story/
  15. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Mar 21, 2017 -> 09:54 AM) And it's some airlines that fly into those cities and not others. I really do not understand what the purpose is here. Muslim ban by a thousand cuts

  23. Trump admin rolling back protections for people in default on student loans https://t.co/8rmUdNwAo4 This comes on the heels of a new report showing a double digit rise in details.
  24. Oh and Trump is asking the military to revise their policies to get as close to the line of "war crimes" as possible: https://twitter.com/samueloakford/status/842750506443427840 Donald "Kill Their Families" Trump
  25. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2017 -> 02:46 PM) It's one s***show after another. Do I have the wiretap story correct? Trump claims it was on Fox News, after saying he read it in the NYT. Fox News also claimed the Brits were involved. When they complained, the WH backed down, agreeing they were not involved but the report despite no evidence anywhere was correct, Trump was wiretapped. How does this end? They will never have any evidence. At his joint press conference with Merkel today, his response to someone asking him about the British allegations the White House leveled multiple times with zero evidence was to tell them "you should be asking Fox." He also decided to revive the diplomatic incident of Merkel being tapped under Obama's administration in order to double down on his claims that Obama wiretapped him. This isn't the first time he's used the "people tell me things and I repeat them with zero verification" excuse, either. So how often in history have we had a situation where the propaganda outlets control the administration instead of vice versa? If we take Trump at his word hear, he's telling us that Fox News hosts know more about intelligence agencies and what they're currently doing than the President does.
