QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 15, 2013 -> 01:02 PM) Talk about overreaction. you can win games in the 2nd quarter now?
-
Cutler's throwing everything long

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 15, 2013 -> 12:43 PM) The INT was a bad decision/throw. Considering how wide open the receivers are getting, there's no need to force that. It was a bad throw, but if he leads Marshall by two feet instead of trailing him, it's probably a TD

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 15, 2013 -> 12:42 PM) What in the world was that pass that looks like something I threw on thanksgiving, not an NFL-caliber throw
-
QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 15, 2013 -> 12:29 PM) Yeah, criticizing this offense would be a pretty risky proposition for virtually every single player on the defense well there we go
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 15, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) I didn't see this until now: http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...y-behind-cutler When the defense starts getting their own interceptions or stopping anyone they can start complaining

Yah I really don't need nfl games on nearly every night of the week

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 10:42 PM) This kid should be executed. Killing 4 people? What the f***. At least lock hin up for life if you cant get him pricked by a death neeedle. Im philosophically against DUI laws. And practically too. Its not as dangerous as it sounds and all of you who've driven legally drunk before know that. Hasnt it essentially been proven that cell phone use is more dangerous? We all rationalize that one though. If you get pulled over drunk the worst you should get is the drunk tank. I personally dont drive drunk or text behind the wheel anymore because at 80,000 lbs of unwieldy machiney that at times requires perfect focus its ludicrously irresponsible. But cars are easy, you really just need to be paying attention and you'll be fine (provided the road is dry and you arent in a deathtrap). HOWEVER, if you kill someone with your negligent idiocy that should be the end of you. Now youve entered the world of creating victims. Joe Lunchpail who gets pulled over on the backroads with a .11 didnt hurt anyone, he shouldnt suffer. But if he did, his ass should be grass. This kid shouldnt be breathing after what he did. Jesus Christ

For comparison, this kid was just sentenced to 15 years in prison for a drunk driving crash that killed two other teens. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/f...4#ixzz2nOOsl2Q3

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 11:56 AM) Yeah eff those guys. It's obvious they have a plethora of better job opportunities and selected bathroom attendant as a career choice. Make that job illegal so those worthless people can become homeless. It's a pretty s***ty job and it's s***ty that some people are essentially forced to do that. It's usually weird and makes everyone uncomfortable, and they're stuck standing in a bathroom all night.
-
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 11:52 AM) You're the reason they're there. I laugh when I see those guys at strip clubs. That's usually where I see them. It's a failed attempt to class a place up. I've also heard they're there to discourage drug use in the bathrooms at clubs/venues, but I dunno how true that is.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 08:28 AM) Some people were arguing that a guy at 34 doesn't suddenly become a good QB. I provided a perfect example of this and you reply with your typical douchiness with no value add whatsoever. They don't, Gannon was 33 you dummy!!

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 03:47 PM) So if McCown was 25 then its different? Either starters dont lose their job to injury, or its just a meaningless cliche that people use when they dont want to make a tough decision. I vote the latter. Maybe that cliche is overused, but, yeah, if a 25 year old who hasn't played much before comes in and looks fantastic it's different than a 35 year old with a track record of meh.
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 02:12 PM) So Jay gets the job done? I believe a healthy Jay Cutler gives this team a better chance of winning than Josh McCown does. Beyond that, you can't project swapping out a QB for a specific play or two because you have no idea how the rest of the game would have unfolded.
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 02:05 PM) SS you are being intentionally obtuse with that comment. He's played very well, and the Rams loss is all about a horrible defense. But I've gotta put the blame for the Vikings loss on the offense (and coaching). Even if they racked up a lot of yards, they still couldn't score more than 20 against a bad team, and they couldn't gain a crucial yard on two tries to effectively seal the win. edit: I think Jay should start and I think it'd be crazy not to bring him back next year, but I understand the arguments in favor of riding the hot hand right now. Even if Cutler comes out and stinks, though, I'd rather they know that over these next three games so they can make a better decision regarding franchise/contract/walk.
-
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 01:49 PM) Why are you a "meathead" if you want the Bears to win and not lose on a decision to put a QB in who hasn't played in 8 weeks, over a guy that has played the best stretch OF ANY QUARTERBACK IN THE HISTORY OF THE GOD DAMN FRANCHISE? Can I repeat that point any stronger? The best f'n stretch of games as QB in ALMOST 100 YEARS. He was also 3-2 though, and he only was able to get 20 points against a terrible Vikings team. It's not like they're coming off of a five-game winning streak.
-
QUOTE (scs787 @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 01:32 PM) I get yours and everyone elses point, I guess I'm just think it's unrealistic to expect Jay to go for 350+ against this Browns team that features perhaps the #1 CB in the league, Joe Haden, and the other corner is leading the league in pass deflections. Don't turn the ball over and win is good enough.
-
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 01:27 PM) Trestman better hope Cutler plays well against a good defense. If they lose and they eventually miss the playoffs, everyone is going to second guess why he took out the QB that had the offense rolling. He's not going to lose his job over it, so I doubt he'll care all that much. edit: meaning that he wouldn't care about fans/media criticizing him for starting his franchise QB, not that he wouldn't care about losing games and missing the playoffs

Cutler is the starter for Sunday's game http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200000029...bears-on-sunday
