QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 02:32 PM) I would love to know what KW is thinking right now. I wonder if he's starting to worry, or if he still thinks it's early. I wonder what his back up plans are. If it stays this bad, does he blow half the team up? We all know what KW's backup plan is: trade the entire farm system for a mediocre middle-reliever or Michael Bourne-esque OFer.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 02:16 PM) Not at all. This s*** has been frustrating as all hell to watch so far this season but some of you guys are completely overreacting. Everyone saw this coming from the offense. We have offensive black holes at LF, 3B, DH, and SS, and AJ and Paulie are completely mediocre for their positions. Our team has problems getting on base, even in the best of times. There is no statistical evidence to suggest that we'll somehow be able to magically snap out of it.

The White Sox are run by complete dolts. Year after year, they try to be more and more like the Twins. The problem is, the Sox brass makes their self-comparison with the Twins on a superficial level. The Twins win not because of "smallball"; they win because of their superhuman scouting ability and tremendous farm system. All these years later, and we still do not get it. Probably never will with this regime.

Now that he's a Royal, there's a pretty good chance we'll trade for him again in the future.

HUGE win, considering yesterday's loss, and the uncertainty with the rest of this series (who knows what we'll get from Freddy or JC). Also, it feels good to finally have a major league CFer on the squad.

In other news, I guess getting Rios was a pretty s***ty acquisition, huh? Wise and BA are much better. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:44 PM) It has. Linebrink and Dotel are a lot better than the minor leaguers KW trotted out there in 2007. And they still are nowhere near worth what they are being paid. -

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:40 PM) We can't f***ing pitch Thornton in every f***ing game. Somebody else has to step up. I'm glad we wasted all that money on Rios so we have nobody reliable in the bullpen next year. Because clearly spending money on the bullpen has worked so well for us up to now. -

QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:38 PM) I'm all for trading Bobby while he still has some value. Get it done, Kenny! That would have been at the beginning of the year. He has no value now. -

QUOTE (qwerty @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:32 PM) Talking about talking foolish. He blew the lead on his own, at a very reasonable pitch count. Deal with it. -

QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:26 PM) Yeah, that was dumb. Danks was at 87 pitches at the beginning of the 8th. He needs to be able to handle that. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:25 PM) You and I have very different definitions of "Fallen Apart". Giving up 2 ERs in 1+ IP against a HORRIBLE A's offense counts in my book. -

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:20 PM) Danks doesn't look too happy. then he shouldn't have fallen apart the past 2 innings. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:20 PM) What the Sox are getting out of Pods offensively this year is a miracle. To expect anything close next year would be foolish. Ride this out and say goodbye. except they won't. expect a two-year deal forthcoming. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 16, 2009 -> 05:05 PM) In no way did I mean for that to happen. I just meant I thought Wise would have a better chance to do something productive than Rios. pure foolishness.
