  1. And they're trailing 4-2 to Cleveland. We may not be the only team suffering from early season blues (I can't believe I'm saying that, IT WAS ONE GAME!). Anyway, Mauer is out of this game. That would be horrible for the Twinkies if he missed significant time.
  2. Good article, but I'm not gonna get completely down on this bullpen. We haven't seen Shingo in an actual gametime situation yet, plus Cotts, Adkins, & Wunsch have yet to throw a pitch. Marte sucked the big one yesterday, but that's more of a rarity with him. Koch faced a grand total of 2 hitters, so he could be better....or worse. And we now know Politte is a 1 inning pitcher. We lost a game that should've been a win, but at least a few questions have been answered.
  3. Look at that form! It looks like he's been stealing bags for years!
  4. I know this is going to sound completely retarded, but I'd like to see the Sox open the year on the West Coast. Every year it's either in the Midwest, Texas, or Toronto. If we're gonna get our brains beat in by the Oaklands, Seattles, & Anaheims, let's get 'em out of the way early.
  5. If we want ESPN to show a highlight of a Sox player stealing a base, it'll have to be #35 stealing that base. Konerko is too low on the radar for them to care.
  6. You'll love this quote then, as spoken by one of their clueless nitwit fans: Genius.
  7. On their top 10 list on Sportscenter, #3 was Lopez's 3 run shot to tie it, at #2, Beltran's game winning shot. Lovely. On a lighter note, Cincy's Ryan Freel throw to home to nail Grudzielanek at home, followed by LaRue's throw to 3rd to nail Patterson was their #1 highlight.
  8. I was thinking the exact, same thing. I love how all the Cubbie trolls are on the whitesox.com message board yukking it up about today's loss. They had the ultimate choke, but in their words "It happened last year". But as the Metallica song title said: THE MEMORIES REMAIN!
  9. Sox lose. Royals win. Twins win. Astros lose. Cards lose. The scourge from the Northside won. Sometimes you're chasing the bull, other times it's chasing you. We'll survive.....and move on. Tomorrow is another day.
  10. IT'S ONE GAME!!!! THEY CAN COME BACK ON WEDNESDAY!!!!
  11. We know our hitting's there, the defense (save for Buerhle's miscue in the 2nd) is okay, & our starting pitching was effective. The bullpen will just have to come around. We need to give it time to gel.
  12. Let's not be a nay-sayer after 1 game. Like I said, this stings like hell, but it's a game. It's not like it was a playoff game. If we all get worked up like this for every game, you'll see alot of Sox fans who might drop dead from the shock.
  13. Today's loss hurts like hell, but it's 1 of 162. The bullpen is gonna blow some of these. The starters may blow a few of these, and the offense might be AWOL for some of these. But they're gonna win their share of these games too. Let's get over the shock and look ahead to Wednesday. We're 0-1, not 0-162.
  14. 1 down in the books. 161 to go. Tomorrow is another day.....even though we play again on Wednesday. We shall rise again.
  15. 1 down in the books. 161 to go. Tomorrow is another day.....even though we play again on Wednesday. We shall rise again.
  16. I bet that site will put up more hits after today's lovely affair. A 6 run 9th. Unbelievable.
  17. Koch is coming in. **runs to go get sick bag**
  18. Sweeney doubled. Come on Cliff, get Juan Gone and let's go to the 9th.
  19. Damn, Politte is registering 97 MPH on the gun! :headbang
  20. 5-4-3 RACK 'EM UP!!! Sox still up 5-2 headed towards top 7th.
  21. Maybe you couldn't hear him because of the earphones, but he probably went, YEEEEAH SAMMY!!!! The dean had no other choice.
  22. Frank swinging at a 3-0 pitch. Ozzie is leaving his mark as we speak.
