Ozzie cannot be upset in anyway about Beckham's performance so far...He is playin a good third base, albeit he is following mr. fields, but nonetheless he is very sure handed and more importantly, he is having good at-bats. The one thing I was impressed about with Beckham was his solid contact...he may be 2 for his last 24, but those are some solid hard hit balls. I don't think Ozzie will have an effect on Beckham at all, that cockiness and swagger will actually be something Ozzie will grow to love.

Great article...I just don't understand what Ozzie's beef is with Beckham. I understand that he's young and has all of these expectations and only a handful of minor league at bats, but give the guy a break. Can anyone shed some light on the real reason Ozzie doesn't like Beckham?

I was at the game today and i have to say that i have never seen this team as flat as they looked today. They all, with the exception of JD who hit the bomb, looked like they were in slow motion and had absolutely no interest in winning. Ozzie i think needs to have one of his patented scream fests at the team and get them in gear and back to the way they were the first half of the season. After seeing how they looked and then looking at the league scoreboard and saw that Detroit took a 4-1 lead on the Tribe, I was really about the lose my mind. We need to fix this now, or we can kiss the playoffs goodbye.
