  1. Swing at the pitches down the middle Olivo
  2. yes, i mean the sox have done this alot this year. 10 runs one game and go in a slump. I just feel that they don't play well against the angels. I realize they scored runs in the first game, but before the 4 run ninth they were not playing well. anyway the sox seem streaky. I don't think you wait until the 7th.
  3. Ok, if we get the leadoff man on, is it too early to sacrafice? I say sacrafice. We need to get a run on the board, our bats are in a slump.
  4. Unreal, garland, what the hell, let them hit the damn ball. Walks suck. we will get killed by the walk. Throw strikes
  5. we don't want a lead too soon then Garland might relax
  6. We need this game, what is our damn problem with the Angels? We should be kicking there ass. Daubach just saw two great pitches. Swing at damn ball.
  7. this is crap garland has a hard time overcoming.
  8. Comon Garland, go right after these guys. Don't freak out! be a pro.
  9. lets rememebr that the angels were not accomadating to our travel needs which puts us in at 5am in texas. The sox should make a note for next year, to screw these guys whenever possible.
  10. Folks, i hope Neal does well with the Sox. I personally think he can be a major league ball player. I don't think he should be pitching now for the Sox. As I mentioned on the other threads (no swearing done by me) he should not be part of a team in a pennant race. He does not have the stuff yet. If you think that is negative, then bash me. He is not ready. He proved that. Let him learn to pitch for strikes, keep him down until he is ready. that is my point. Furthermore I am not being negative as others might have suggested, I am being honest and practical as a fan. I do not have a good answer for the fifth starter nor do they pay me to have one. I believe with the expanded rosters in Sept we could have three fifth starters pitching on the same day to button up that position when it comes up. Until then, we need to look at the waiver wire, or have cotts pitch one more time. But if he does pitch it will be against Anahiem again at home. I really don't think the sox want that to happen. I hope you can find a silver lining in my comments.
  11. How many of those guys had great ML debuts? The fact remains that you can't buy or sell a player based on 1 start. I'd give him one more chance. If he struggled because of jitters, then the stuff he showed in the 1st and to get out of the 2nd will certainly help the Sox. I think he deserves another chance, whether it's out of the pen or as a starter. If he gets another start and it's the same thing, then send him back down, otherwise he has the stuff to really help us. Granted, it's just stuff. Garland had it and it took him a while to become a good pitcher. All I'm saying is give him another chance in some form. I am sorry I wouldn't do it this year in a pennant drive. That's just me. The kid will have a nice future just not this year. Waiver wire- KW should have his phone on
  12. he will just need to stay down until he is ready. A year in triple A should help. Not to start another thread but what is the update on stewart.
  13. Hmm Mark Prior Kerry Wood Mark Mulder Barry Zito Rich harden - Not bad Dontrelle Willis
  14. Your right that is why he should not be pitching for a pennant contending team right now.
  15. this game reminds me of last night. We need 8 runs tonight
  16. And to think How negative I was earlier.
  17. Thank god, thats the end of that experiment. See ya in spring training
  18. Get this piece of crap out of there. We are in a pennant race. HE SUCKS
  19. Gee Danny Wright in the pen. Cotts will be sent down
