  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 03:07 PM) Can't wait for the "Jenks Sucks" thread.... He IS sucking right now.
  2. Hadn't seen that Miller commercial before. It's funny. Makes me think of "Best In Show.". I love that movie. C'mon JJ!
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 02:34 PM) Twins should IBB Beckham I'm stupid. IBB?
  4. I just keep thinking, "It's still the Twins in Minnesota." And Beckham's play looms very large.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 01:51 PM) That was great base running...never thought I'd see the day where Rios and Konerko were in the same screen on the bases. Nice pick-up. I missed that.
  6. QUOTE (PA32R @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 01:42 PM) THAT Bob Ryan's son? Yep.
  7. I hate when Hawk tries out and overuses a new hawkism. The old ones are plenty.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 01:39 PM) We've scored 8, 4, and 2 runs in the 3 games since we came back. I'll grant we needed a better approach against Pavano yesterday, but that's 14 runs in 3 games, which isn't bad for how this team is built. ...but not the big hit in either of the last two 9th innings.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 01:35 PM) The big difference so far is the "one bad inning" that 3 of our starters have had. ... and the one missed big hit.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 01:32 PM) Hell, I'll take that! In Minnesota, take anything. You're right.
  11. Quentin is just always looking like he's going to hurt himself.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 01:05 PM) BTW, talk about pitching away from your defense. Rios was shading Cuddyer to right center, and Garcia threw a fastball. It's those little things that hurt us when we play the Twins. It's bad either way, but I don't know if he meant to throw it there or if he missed badly.
  13. It was an ugly error, no question, but it was just an error and errors happen. Our HOF inductee, Vizquel, had a couple errors last week. Obviously, Viciedo is not an HOF infielder, so don't acuse me of saying that. I'm just saying that errors will happen and it shouldn't be an excuse to then throw batting practice to the other team. It also isn't enough, in my opinion, to give up on the guy. It may well be that Viciedo will develop more efficiently in Charlotte, playing every day, though, and Lillibridge is an asset right now. As was noted above, Jones and Kotsay are here for good, rightly or wrongly.
  14. He did call that last strike... but it sure looked like he didn't want to.
  15. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 09:42 PM) Hell I walk him. Ummmm.... no.
  16. Whoever, earlier, wrote that it's nice to have games to care about, was right. I hate it.
