  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 06:22 PM) A 'pitcher of the month' doesn't automatically make you an ace. *See "Floyd, Gavin."
  2. Guess Ramirez running wouldn't have mattered... unless he'd been thrown out. Hindsight is easy.
  3. Rios watched 2 seemingly hittable pitches, but missed with his swing at the one over his head.
  4. Paulie's hitting everyone right now. Maybe Rios can get a hit. I don't see many others doing much against CC. Pierre's hit wasn't exactly a screamer.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 01:30 PM) What does that have to do with anything? We're not looking to sign a long term deal with him. It's a rental for 2010. Just another reason, lower among many, to not like or want him.
  6. In the minority here, but, even though I live in Colorado & the Rox are my (distant) second favorite team, I am hoping the Dodgers keep winning. I want them to decide Manny is an integral part of their pursuit of the wild card. Quitter & unrepentant cheater. Isn't he a Boras client too? Yuck.
  7. 1. Is there any way LA says to just take him and the remaining $4mil? 2. Besides the cheating, he also quit on his team. Quit. 3. Is the rumor that he wanted a year added to his contract still alive? I'd hate to see that happen.
  8. SI_JonHeyman i think theyll have a trade. cant see white sox paying whole $4.1 mil. so perhaps there was a prearranged trade. tho dodgers winning now less than 5 seconds ago via web rangers also made claim on manny 1 minute ago via web white sox won the claim for manny 2 minutes ago via web Have 'till Tuesday... Was groundwork laid?
  9. 1. Perfect game thread title. 2. Yes, Manny can hit the ball and would be likely to help the Sox. He's a cheater. I don't want cheaters on the team. Even if one were to argue that he's paid his penalty for the cheating and deserves a second chance, he's still a quitter. Quitting on your team is as close to unforgivable as anything.
  10. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 08:30 PM) i am not sure if copper had anytning to do with it but he sure looks a lot better than peavy Right now, he looks better than just about everybody.
  11. My personal favorite: Thinnest kids at fat camp.
  12. QUOTE (since56 @ Aug 25, 2010 -> 04:28 AM) I got the feeling the mighty twins are going to stumble. Another one game playoff? Can Thome do the same thing for them he did for us in'08? Where would that leave the Ozzeroo? Too painful to even contemplate, though, obviously, I just did. Must stop.
  13. QUOTE (WinorDie88 @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 12:08 AM) no he was up last inning. Thank goodness.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 11:02 PM) What say you all on these developments as reported by the Chicago Tribune? The tension will be high in KC if we hold a lead entering the ninth as Bobby returns to his closer role. Are you satisfied with this or do you wish he'd give it to Thornton right now with Bobby visually appearing fatter than previous seasons and Thornton available? Something irrationally tells me Jenks has one of his good streaks coming.
  15. QUOTE (La Marr Hoyt HOF @ Aug 18, 2010 -> 09:34 PM) '11 Marketing Campaign: Kotsayball As long as Mrs. Kotsay is on the poster.
