  1. So glad for the win. As I worried earlier, this loss could have been poison. Thankfully, I was wrong and worried over something that didn't materialize. GO SOX!
  2. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 11:08 PM) Or Colon. LOL
  3. Lots of Walker love in the booth tonight. BTW, I note Huff & Hawk sat next to each other. Why do Stone & Hawk sit at opposite ends of the desk?
  4. On that last play, Hawk said, "Alexi sucks it up." I, at the time wondered if he was going t add the "it up."
  5. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 10:19 PM) Some slogans for the team: Your 2009 White Sox.. When Six is Never Enough! The Phantom of the Error Strikeout, Strikeout, Strikeout! Picked Off, Third Base Style! Cashing the Checks With their Heads in Dark Places
  6. Whoever, earlier, posted that Hawk was upset with Ramirez... Yep. Moreso now.
  7. To flog the dead pony once more... Has anybody seen any dugout shots? Anybody sitting with Rios?
  8. Losses like this could turn out to be can be the negative turning point of a season. New guy in he outfield, to be kind, not being welcomed in the field. Blame the umps. Poor positioning. Former hero throwing batting practice in the game. Just lots of poison mojo. Hope not, though. Ozzie has to start with backing Rios.
  9. I still go back to the initial misplay by Q in left. Don't disagree with the other criticism and bashing, but THAT's the one that pisses me off the most.
  10. Ok, I know the runner doesn't go so far if we have a guy covering 2nd,... But we still should have had somebody there behind him. Fundamentals.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 09:23 PM) That was inexcusable. How do you not make a routine catch on a fly ball? Rios screwed that up, that was Carlos' ball. I know the CF is in command of the OF, but Carlos had a easier chance of making that play. Sorry, but I'm pretty sure most people would say you are wrong.
  12. Q started this not yielding to Rios, then bobbled the ball. Plenty of hilarity for all, but the beginning & end belong to TCQ.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 09:15 PM) Quentin and Dye are just really bad outfielders Laurel & Hardy shouldn't have been squeezing Rios. Ozzie's got to back Rios.
  14. The lack of range is obvious, for sure. In my mind, it seems like a lot of the true errors are in the (lack of) proper transfer to his throwing hand. Just flies out of the glove as he stares at first base. Not concentrating on the ball.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 08:43 PM) It was a joke We know. That's why we LOL.
  16. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 08:42 PM) from the DH spot? LOL
  17. QUOTE (BlackBetsy @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 08:39 PM) Mike Huff I have no idea why he is the color guy. Minor and forgettable career. Some relation to the Sox organization? Thank you.
  18. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 08:37 PM) Is it Ventura or McDowell? Hawk said he "was a good outfielder" and he called him "Mike" (I think.).
  19. Who s the color guy? Seems smart & insightful, but I don't like his voice. That's just me.
