Gotta be the best draft in franchise history. Some may laugh about the punter pick but he’s ridiculous and the Bears had one of the worst punters in the league with Gill.
It's certainly the most exciting in my lifetime. Just didn't say multiple championship window.

The Sox always play better when no one is watching.
They will be amazing by summer.

AppleTV is exactly what the team needed.

Im sorry but this lineup is awesome
Lopez hitting .203
Pham hasn’t played in 6 months and isn’t a CF
Grossman at .184
Eloy hitting .200
AV hitting .170 and isn’t actually a 1b
Beni hitting .165 lackadaisical in LF and noodle arm
Mendick…maybe the best player in the lineup? At least hitting .235 and not defensive liability?
DeJong only hitting .211 but at least appears to be an MLB professional, 2nd best in lineup.
Maldonado hitting .048 🤣. Cant frame pitches, throw, or block but like the way he “puts the fingers down.” 😂
29 year old starter is a career 5+ ERA and has only been under 6 in 2021 and 2022
TB -240 is a pretty crazy line in Major League Baseball but probably justified. Know where my money is going.
You made that sound like a bad thing.

I don’t know if it’s been explained but…if you are going to sign Pham and Clevinger why the hell wait so long? To get more leverage and save a few bucks. They aren’t going to be world beaters but at least sign them early enough so they can break cramp with the team. The Sox’ literally went into opening day with a 4 man rotation. That’s horrible roster management. Did anyone actually believe Yoan, Eloy, and Luis were going to play 155 games together? Now you have a lineup that essentially requires a DH in the outfield at all times, Nicky Lopez is your lead off hitter, the new centerfielder is literally tripping all over himself and knocking it over the fence, and the largest contract in team history and newest infielder are missing routine fly balls. Getz swung and missed badly. I’m sure he is under pretty significant financial limitations and some of it is a shitty situation left over from the previous regime, but they went into this season with zero backup plan. They needed everything to go right to even get to 65 wins, now a couple guys go down and this is what you get. Legit making a run of the worst record in league history and setting new records for futility on almost a daily basis.
Do you think anybody was eager to sign with the Sox? I find it more reasonable to believe agents looked at the caller ID and didn't pick up when Getz was calling. Anybody would have been a better offer.

It worked great the last time we hired a guy who hadn't managed in a decade.

I said the same fucking thing yesterday. FOR TWO YEARS ELOY HAS SEEN GARBAGE AWAY TO START ABs!
He's almost always down in the count because of it. Like do we have a single fucking coach that can work with him on IDing how pitchers attack his weaknesses? Come the f*** on this is MLB you're all being very well compensated to be at the pinnacle of the profession DO YOUR JOB.
Or, he's uncoachable.

TLR created the position and just as quickly it was eliminated when he left.

Nearly 20 games under .500 and it's not even May. Never thought I'd see that.
Not from a "major market" team.

Very likely Caleb won’t see the new stadium while he’s on his rookie deal
Exactly, that's why I said projections. Three or four years playing together. Damn, it should be nice. An actual passing game.

I’m going to be so disappointed if Poles doesn’t take Odunze if he’s there at #9. Quite honestly, the only other result I would want to see is a crazy trade up for MHJ, which I doubt is likely.
Projections would indicate Bears fans wouldn't recognize the air game that would result.
Now toss in a dome to make throwing the ball possible in all weather conditions and damn I'm getting excited.

I prayed to God I wouldn't be watching the same s%*# last night. Fell asleep at 8 pm.
Praise be to God. Did I miss anything?

Burger is "likeable" because the current team is awful. If we had a good team and had Jake Burger starting, everyone would be looking to replace him.
The team is so bad we're discussing someone who isn't even on the roster.

Looking at the Bears presentation, the stadium looks nice. No new taxes. Replacing existing Soldier Field with pure green space. I think the Bears beat the Sox to it.
If course there is the misdirection. No new taxes for the stadium because we pulled money from this other pile. Oops, now we need a new tax for that pile. So no new taxes for the stadium.
It's basically how state lotteries didn't create a net gain for schools. They dumped the lottery proceeds into the pot, but then stopped putting as much from taxes.

I am willing to let the team move. I'll help them pack.
As a current out of state fan I was ripped for having that point of view. I believe now it's a local decision and whatever the voters decide is fine with me. But rewarding this franchise with another stadium annoys me.

There should be no new stadium. Period.
Then be willing to have the team move if they get a better offer. Match the offer or risk having Chicago be a one team city.
I'd like to see a bidding war between Arlington Heights and Chicago for the team.

Since I don't pay much in taxes each year to Illinois I'm in favor of a special tax assessment to everyone living in Cook County to pay for great stadiums for the Sox and Bears. I think about $250 per person should do it. We don't want a Coyote type thing to happen.
And yes, that was sarcasm.

This is when JR is next level genius. Hey Nashville, you don't need a new expansion team. We have everything an expansion team would have. No stars. No wins. But with over 100 years of expansion club like experience.
