Honest question. Do you think ANYONE in the Sox organization, read this article and ever gave it a second thought? No way. This is garbage, and all of his teammates know it. At worst they made fun of Frank for this. At best they never thought about it again .
Almost every player read it. I've known too many athletes to think they don't reaad the papers to see what is being written. It would take super human strength not to.

Exactly. With a million things he could have wrote about this team..IE Harris's early success, Uribe's early success, Maggs contract statement with his bat, Scho showing he is a real starter, Ozzies early affect on this team etc. He goes and finds the first big negative occurance he can, and dedicates his whole Sunday column to it. He might be right, but he has zero credibility. Espesially to talk about someone's whiney personality, as this guys whole career has been made from b****ing about Professional Athletes.

Wow, Hammerhead, that's a nice collection of boots. I'm not even familiar with half those titles, I've been less active in pursuing them since vinyl went the way of the 8-track tape.
I just shelled out a chunk of change on some Zappa and Rundgren boots and got to scolding myself because I've not pursued the Beatles stuff much of late. Then again, you're right - a lot of the same takes show up on 20 or 30 different titles.
I love Rundgren's career. It really seems like he figured out how to make gobs and gibs of money and still be himself.

Maggs hits a walk off home run from the 3 spot and Frank's contract is wrong. Both on the same day. Coincidence?
If Frank had the PR skills of MJ, the world would be at his feet. He is the hardest working power hitter in baseball. He is doing it, at his age, by staying in amazing shape.
But, somebody please duct tape his mouth. He's not even Charles Barkley funny with this s***.
Frank could have signed a one or two year deal and then been free to renegotiate. You want the extra years, live with the extra years.
This is Maggs team. Maybe we need a group of players to have an intervention and tell Frank to just shut up, get to the playoffs, maybe get one hit this time (Mr. 0 for the 2000 playoffs), and finish a HoF career.
I think the main reason we dislike Jay is he is usually pretty damn accurate regarding the Sox. Sometimes that isn't pretty. I also appreciate when Jay is positive about someone or something, he really beieves it.

WASHINGTON, April 16 (Reuters) - U.S. radio broadcasters have asked federal regulators to bar rival satellite radio services from offering content tailored to local markets, according to a petition obtained on Friday.
The National Association of Broadcasters, which represents radio conglomerates like Clear Channel Communications Inc. , filed the request due to concerns the up and coming satellite services are trying to replace local radio outlets.
Both XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. now offer traffic and weather for several cities on its national service, but are barred from using ground-based transmitters that extend service into hard-to-reach areas to air programming aimed specifically at a local market.

I am thinking for my birthday I am going to head up for the Ranger v. Sox games in September. I would come up for the July games but I will be taking off the prior week for a week in the mountains with my 30 boys.
I wish there was a couple weekend games. Majkes things easier coming up from the valley.

Israel was born by many of the world's countries. Sadly, it could be destroyed just as easily. No one can withstand the onslaught of the entire world. Like it or not, if the world leaves Israel to its own, it will not last.
Using your number that 70% of Palistinians want Israel destroyed, has that number gone up or down when the Israeli helicopters come into the neighborhood to take out a Hamas leader and anyone else who may have been in the way? Just like the suicide bombers build resolve in the Israeli population, and fuel hatred towards Palestinians, so does the assasinations by Israel. Peace comes when no one wants the other side harmed. Escalation does not move us closer to that goal.
