Good point. I don't mind them setting a limit. But they can set the dollar amount at any level. Most stations by me now have $125 as their stop. I can fill up there. There are a lot of customers here with 26 to 40 gallon tanks. At $4 a gallon and a $75 stop they sometimes can't fill up. Basically for me it's the equivalent of setting the stop at $25 for most car owners, about a half tank.

Side bar. I was running out of games to play with my 8th graders. Basically it was a competition where they correctly use a vocabulary word in conversation then get to play a game. Groups would compete against each other. Then I remembered the grand prize game. Only I made it table top with some plastic cups and ping pong balls. Then instead of one long line, I arranged them like bowling pins. I then stood back and realized I had the kids playing beer pong. Lol

No manager makes every decision with a 100% success rate. In game decisions are important but team culture and attitude are also important. Last year the team stayed in the race with major injuries. If he wasn't so disliked by fans the results should have had him in manager of the year discussions. I could see him earning a Manager of the Year award. Is he the best in baseball or even the best in our division? I don't think so. But he's who we have.

My school has a cool opening day tradition. Teachers wear a jersey of their favorite team. There will be lots of Astros gear of course, and some Rangers. But the Cardinals, Guardians, White Sox, Marlins, Yankees, Red Sox, Giants, and (sadly) Cubs will be represented. Plus a couple surprises I'm certain. I'm rocking a replica Buerhle 2005 WS jersey this year.

All it takes is the right (owner/GM/etc) and anyone can win continuously in baseball.
