Keep hitting them hard and eventually the ball finds some holes.

I predicted he'll pitch into the fifth today.

He's only given up one more hit than Kershaw today

My prediction, someone will type why the hell is Tony sending him out in the fifth!?

Seriously, I'm bullish on Keuchel for this season. Obviously not a return to his Cy Young days, but a serviceable fourth or fifth starter that will get into the fifth in half his starts.

On the bright side I expected by 6:45 for Soxtalk to have a meltdown over Keuchel.

Is there a chance of playing? MLB.tv just has weather delay screen.

Exactly. I do care a little because it could be used as an excuse to not sign other players. And, because I've spent some time studying linguistics https://slate.com/human-interest/2014/03/why-i-could-care-less-is-not-as-irrational-or-ungrammatical-as-you-might-think.html

Fourteen innings seems more than 9.

A's interested in Andrew Vaughn/Sox in Montas
Agreed. Although I think we would agree the first baseman they drafted fifth in '89 wasn't a wasted draft pick.

Trevor Bauer receives 2 YEAR suspension from MLB
Basically just kicking it down the road a little further. He's now in that John Rocker, Ozzie, Kaepernick* vein. No matter how talented he's going to cost you ticket sales, sponsors, and bring a ton of negative publicity to your team. Is it worth it? *If anyone wants to debate he doesn't belong linked to the others, I understand. He obviously has more fans than the others. I almost didn't list him.

2022 Catch All
There is a lot of anger in the world. Plus easy access to weapons that can hurt a lot of people quickly and without much practice.

Kershaw perfect through 7, pulled after 80 pitches
We may be close to no starters just guys that can throw twenty or twenty five pitches every other day.

Dedicated thread already.

Agreed. Even if the receiving time projects him into their starting lineup he's worth a fifth starter and even then there is probably a minor league prospect thrown in. As I type this I'm thinking Sheets and a ptbnl for a fifth starter is about right.

Vaughn the platoon hitter?
Guys are going to be rested to proactively protect them from injuries, that's going to put Garcia out there a lot. Blame it on players needing rest not the guy whose on the roster because he can back up multiple positions.

I can't believe modern players are more fragile, but we tend to wrap them in bubble wrap and put them on a shelf.

Let's talk about Luis Robert
Makes perfect sense. But then I think he doesn't steal third because it's risky. He doesn't run into the wall saving an extra base hit because it's risky. Is he still a MVP candidate? Makes me realize that we will never see guys like Pete Rose and Nolan Ryan again. It's too risky.
