Guys are going to be rested to proactively protect them from injuries, that's going to put Garcia out there a lot. Blame it on players needing rest not the guy whose on the roster because he can back up multiple positions.

I can't believe modern players are more fragile, but we tend to wrap them in bubble wrap and put them on a shelf.

Makes perfect sense. But then I think he doesn't steal third because it's risky. He doesn't run into the wall saving an extra base hit because it's risky. Is he still a MVP candidate? Makes me realize that we will never see guys like Pete Rose and Nolan Ryan again. It's too risky.

Too bad they weren't allowed to throw on their own. Maybe hire a personal trainer. The simulated games in 2020 we're supposedly a big success.

Actually the game was designed to go to 21 aces and games lasted about six innings. I know change is tough at your age. ?

Edited as a reminder at one point he was the best pitcher in the league. I'm bullish on his start and could care less if the team isn't as profitable next year.

Way back in the day I had Bulls season tickets. Then they drafted this kid Michael. Yeah, service went to hell. Then when they opened the new stadium our "equivalent" center court seats became behind the baseline corner seats. I never had an issue with the Sox during the 80s and 90s. I wonder why?

I can't see him replacing Grandal at the plate, but from these early looks if he develops into a late inning defensive replacement that could be a nice bonus.

McGuire instills confidence back there. It could be a great rotation at DH with guys resting from the field but staying in the lineup.
