Right now I think this team sucks. But Credes homer (as much as I hate him for somethings, I must say hes the most clutch hitter Ive seen on this team in a long time) might possibly serve like Abbots 2000 heroics. Then again, I said this after Lees heroics the other day against Toronto and I was wrong, and this homer was against Detroit. Do this against the Yankees and maybe Ill believe this team still has some gas in the tank. Also, Im still a little pissed off that we lost a series to Detroit...

Actually, it was my uncle in the navy and I think it was the Hale Koa, I remember there were a lot of navy people staying there. It was a great hotel, and there was a little snack place called smiley's. I am not sure I would want to live in Hawaii though because after a while i think I would feel claustrophobic living on an island. U of Hawaii is a possibility for college though. Hale Koa is an all military hotel. It had a couple of pools and I dont remember Smileys but I do remember a Haagen Daas. We would go down to the beach every evening and on the way back we would always stop at Haagen Daas. Theres a picture of me on the boardwalk in Hawaii with like five parrots sitting on my outspread arms. One of the parrots bit my brothers ear. It was the nicest place in the world. But since I want to go into the Marines as an officer, my parents want me to do NROTC in college. There isnt one at UH (there are proposals) so I probably wont go there unless one of those proposals comes thru in the next two years. I wouldnt have any problem living on an island tho, especially the Hawaian Islands. I get claustrophobic in reallly really small places such as elevators, not contained places such as islands. One good thing tho, is that the military has several bases (one marine base) in Hawaii so i could always request to be stationed there. Did you ever go to Hanauma Bay, where you can snorkel with the fish? I loved that. There is a list which was just recently made of the top ten beaches in the US. Hawaii had four of them. 1.) Kaanapali beach. 4.) Hanalei Bay. 7.) Makalawena beach. 8.) Hanauma Bay. Out of all those I have only been to Hanauma Bay. And also, one correction to an earlier post. I have never been to Maui, only to Oahu and Kauai...

Yeah, isnt making the playoffs the ultimate goal of every big league team? Really, the Devil Rays have never been anything but a failure. And since 2000, we havent succeeded either... That we're quickly deteriorating? I sure notice it. And I hate that we ended up 83-79. Yeah we were in a big hole and I congratulate them for climbing out, but I cant stand people who settle for mediocrity! 83-79 is mediocre. It doesnt get you into the playoffs (because the playoffs are for the good teams, not the mediocre ones). Some people here say look at that team they climbed out of a huge hole and played decently. I say they shouldnt have been in the hole to start with and they only ended up mediocre. Mediocrity is unacceptable...

The offense had struggled (scoring only 215 runs, or approximately 4.3 a game) and the pitching had struggled as well(allowing 264 runs, or approximately 5.28 a game). We then turned it around and played .560 ball the rest of the year, going 63-49. Do the first two months of this year appear to look very much like the first two months of 2001? If I had to give you an answer....I'd probably say yes. I'd actually prefer to see what is going to happen in the next 4 months then to say that we'll suck because we're playing like s*** now. This team, right now, looks like s*** and they are playing like s***. If someone disagreed....they should be slapped. Then again....what happens today isn't necessarily going to happen tomorrow, let alone a month or two from now. You think this team will just go into the Cubs series with no heart whatsoever? Im sorry matthew, but as you might conclude by the fact that my number one is tropical Hawaii, I dont really like colder, coniferous forest kinda places like that. What I think is beautiful is tropical rain forest, with waterfalls cascading thru, and then a beautiful sunset over a beautiful beach. But thats just me... Ive also heard good things about Sedona Arizona. Has anyone been there?
