This was the series of the year. Colon, my MVP, stepped up. Buehrle, who I so passionately hate, stepped up. Garland, even tho the offense screwed him over, stepped up. Loaiza, who is supposedly the reliable ace, sucked...
Hes in a 4-50 slump. Hes now hitting .246 with 36 homeruns and 96 RBIs. Assuming that only players on winning teams are considered, I think Frank has a great chance at MVP. Brett Boone has a chance but Seattle may not go to the playoffs, being 3 behind Oakland and 2 behind Boston. Manny has good stats and his team is in position to go to the postseason but he is a slug and not well liked by the media. Garciaparra and Tejada are minimally contending and the both are on playoff teams. Another thought is Lee. He is one of two players (Boones the other) on a winning team with 100 RBIs in the AL. If the Sox go to the playoffs, I say Frank wins. If Sox dont go, but the Ms do, I say Boone wins. And if neither goes, and Boston does, I say Garciaparra wins. Thoughts?
Maggs wont win the BA title. Hes trailing Mueller by 11 points.
And Maggs wont win the MVP, he wont even beat Frank. Hes done well but he only has 28 homeruns and 88 RBIs. That wont get him MVP. Frank could win it tho if we make the playoffs, but Boone will win it if we dont...
I could really care less about Loaizas run for Cy Young. Im honestly not a big fan of his. I care more about the pennant race. And so far, hes not doing a good job of supporting the team in it. The guy whos really stepped up big down the stretch and is my Cy Young, is Colon. Hes done everything possible to help us win. Loaizas fallen in the last two starts and this last one could end up killing us.
Also, dont get down on Loaizas chances for Cy Young. In the last three years the first man to 20 has failed to win the award. It aint over yet...
Im gonna go with bj and say kidney stones. Im not sure but it wouldnt surprise me. And what is a hernia? Isnt it like when an organ falls between two bones and gets stuck?
