  1. What is this? El Caballo night aftre Valentin night last night? If one out of our top 7 studs (FT, Maggs, Lee, Val, Kong, Everett, Alomar) keeps doing this every night, we may never lose
  2. Looking ahead, I am very happy we do not get to face Cy Moyer and Pineiro....we can hit Freddie Garcia and Franklin to win the series....Meche has been inconsistent recently too
  3. wow....carlos's next bat will be fun ... if he gets a 3rd home run today, ESPN will be showing the Sox all SC and BBTN tonight
  4. I understand your point, and to some degree it is true, but when you speak up like White, then proceed to get ripped in your next 2 appearances afterwards, you aren't gonna be winning any fans over. He has been bad against TB and KC, with 7 ER in 2 IP max. Just because a player "cares" doesnt mean that he gets the benefit of the doubt when he pitches s***ty. I wonder how Paul Konerko was a supposed leader then since he spoke so much but did nothing to back it up other than one half of a season last year
  5. I actually missed that game so you may be correct.
  6. Thats cuz he pitched Rick White first... Yeah but you can bring in Wunsch or Ginter or Koch then right with a 3 run lead? Why use Marte and Gordon every game? I know these are big games but when you are leading by 3, it is not needed immediately
  7. That was Koch who screwed up in TB in game 1
  8. IMHO, I think he genuinely wants this team to win the whole thing. So he pointed out something we Sox fans have been saying for years. Manuel does tend to burn through his bullpen and is very wierd in the way he handles bull pens throughout his tenure here with the Sox. He does the same thing with the batting line ups too, which is why we all call him tinkeroo. Now, I know White has not been stellar for us, but if you look at the last month or so, he has been excellent except for one outing (the one against the riyals in game 1). Everyone is due a bad game here and there, and I think he is key to our success down the stretch. I actually agree with White's assessment of Manuel's bullpen handling. Case in point, last night why would you not let Ginter finish it up. Why waste Koch last night. Agreed Koch has had his problems, but there was no need to use him yesterday in a blowout. Secondly, in a 19 day stretch, when we were losing a lot of games, Glover was never used. Believe me, Marte and Gordon might lose an arm one of these days. For God's sake, Manuel used Gordon and Marte even when we were blowing KC away in game 1 against the Royals. He needs to learn to rest some of the bullpen folks when a game is one-sided either way. I just do not get the animosity towards White just because he is being honest. I rather have players being honest than giving me BS cliches all the time. He cares, so he speaks up .....and he gets ripped by everyone.....in favor of a manager who it seems until recently did not care for anything in all of your opinions. At least White cares......hasn't the argument against Manuelk always been he does not care neither do any of these White Sox players (during the corpse stretch early int he season?)
  9. Frankly, it is baseball's fault. During the CBA negotiations, the other owners did not push for an all out salary cap and revenue sharing, which would have stopped this spankee nonsense.
  10. "so it shall be said, so it shall be done" again,.....MAGGS DOES YARD WORK Now, can I become a millionaire? ...maybe that will come true too
  11. "so it shall be said, so it shall be done" Good job Jon....if we can get 3 more innings, we will be fine Hopefully, we add some more runs to let him attack while pitching
  12. Hawk voice: "I luuuuuuuuvvvvvv crooked numbers"
  13. Hopefully, the Sox do not start any premature celebrations just yet...the next inning is the key...Jon needs to get out of the inning unscathed quickly
  14. Before the Sox-Royals series, Jose Valentin said: "No mercy," shortstop Jose Valentin said.
  15. way back ....you can put it on the board....YESSSSSSSSSSSS
  16. VALENTIN DOES YARD WORK SECOND TIME IN A ROW f*** YOU ROYALS GO JOSE f***ING VALENTIN
  17. Did you know Paulie is hitting 0.340 vs lefties (~90 at bats) WOW Of course he is only 0.150 against righties Nice sacrifice there though....gets Maggs to 3rd too Another sacrifice and we are tied
  18. Everett singled ....bases loaded nobody out wooo hoooo
  19. Everett better make them pay here....1st and 2nd no one out Maybe we should make him bunt.... hmmmm
  20. Thomas hit by pitch Whats' the deal? I cannot watch this game on TV ....was this intentional since Jon hit Beltran?
  21. Why is Thomas not playing 1st base? Kong f***ing sucks independent of where he plays....
  22. ....if they ever decide to pull their heads out of the their collective asses From CNNSI: BQ Who has the most to gain in the next two months? If the Twins are ever going to make their move, it's going to be now. Sitting 6 1/2 games behind Kansas City for the AL Central lead -- and 3 1/2 in back of second-place Chicago -- Minnesota has a very favorable schedule to close the season. No more Yankees. No more Red Sox. No more A's. No more Mariners. The Twins' hard work outside of the division is finished. While the Royals and White Sox still must play each other 12 more times -- not to mention series with the Yankees -- the Twins can make up some serious ground. And fast. Consider the rest of their schedule: 13 with the Tigers, 12 with the Indians, six with the Orioles, Angels and Rangers ... and seven each with the two teams they're chasing, the Royals and White Sox. The Royals and White Sox are the only teams remaining on the Twins' schedule that are above .500. In fact, the average winning percentage of Minnesota's final 57 opponents is .425. For Chicago, it's .512; for Kansas City, it's .450). But to win the Central, the Twins still will have to figure out a way to beat the Royals and White Sox consistently. This season, Minnesota is 4-8 vs. Kansas City, 5-7 vs. Chicago. But the rest of the schedule certainly plays into the Twins' hands.
  23. Jose makes sure we answer back immediately....which is very important
