  1. WOOO! ROYALS! have they used Soria yet?
  2. QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 10:46 AM) Well, the White Sox have invaded my dreams last night. I don't remember all of it, but it started with me watching them play in the post season; then some how me, Uribe and Jenks were cruising around on bikes followed by us running into some trouble at a bar, with Uribe pulling out a shotgun and Bobby Jenks growing about twice his size and those two just clearing out mofo's. Pretty wild stuff, let's hope for another White Sox winner so my mind will be in a similarly good state for hopefully another episode of this badass duo. Thats an awesome dream.
  3. So I work at a retirement community as the head groundskeeper. Well I'm also in school so I try to do both. I don't have class on thursday so I can work all day. this is the 4th straight thursday its rained. I am going to be so broke.
  4. That looked awesome. I'm a huge fan of Hockey games.
  5. QUOTE (Jeremy @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 09:33 PM) Owens is the better offensive player so wrong. Anderson is better at everything. Including baserunning.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 10:03 PM) Ugh, it would be so nice to have Willie Harris on this roster. yep, willie is jerry owens except 100 times better. basically he can actually hit a little and is adequate defensively.
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 09:39 PM) Each has its strength. The bottom line is that players need to get hits. However, Swish is a prime example of how OBP fools people into thinking someone is a good hitter. I will take a Juan Pierre hit over a Nick Swisher walk. I would gladly replace Swish with 200 hit Juan Pierre. Really bad hitters can have really good slugging percentages, since it doesn't take into account how often you hit the ball. OK but wouldnt you rather have Juan pierre getting on base at a better clip?
  8. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:50 PM) is nick swisher the worst hitter in the majors? Jerry Owens is still on the team right?
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:46 PM) So here's the part that will piss you off...if Clayton Dick would have thrown the ball to first base, that run down situation never happens. why did you bring that up? just why?
  10. I'm going to go put a bet on the twins to win the central.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:45 PM) Think of it this way....if there's some type of terrorist attack or natural disaster tonight that wipes out the rest of the regular season, the White Sox are going to the playoffs! Our best chance.
  12. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:44 PM) is anyone else near tears right now? sigh. I seriously was when I saw Konerko on the ground.
  13. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:40 PM) Oh god, are we gonna have to watch this f***ing Blackhawks commercial during every break now? It's so f***ing annoying. I liked it the first time. Reminded me of those I love the Bulls commercials from a few years back for some reason.
  14. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:36 PM) this. team. is. dead ???? First time that I'll agree. It's done.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:33 PM) It will be D. Wise (let's hope he hits, because he's worse than Pods or C. Lee defensively). That just terrifies me. As crazy as it sounds, losing so much offense, I think we should just try to have the best defensive team out there we can.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:31 PM) Twins are up 7-2 Shaping up to be one of the worst days of baseball I can ever remember. One of the absolute worst in recent memory.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 9, 2008 -> 07:30 PM) So, what's Barry Bonds doing these days? I wouldn't be opposed.
