Any schoolgirl would have more courage. HSC was a schoolgirl and she would run from nothing. Please do not insult schollgirls by comaprting them to G W Bush. And as I recall it, most Americans voted for a veteran for president in 2000 - right now I am trying to remember what was Cheney's excuse - was his the old football trick new, or was his the few pounds overweight? wouldnt bill clinton be considered a chickenhawk too under apu's definition???

The AP has a story on it: Chem Plant a quote from the link: " Officials cautioned it was premature to conclude any forbidden weapons had been located. " agreed...and the wait will probably be long...it has to be secure enough for the inspection team of scientists to take their time and get it right.. hey , you never answered (or maybe i missed it) what unit is your son with???...you said you didnt know where he was...sites like CNN have the situation mapped out pretty well...you might be able to find out his unit is at on that site or one of the others

It's Faux News, excuse me Fox News reporting it too. I'm VERY hesitant to believe what the U.S. corporate media says now, especially Fox. BBC is reporting to apu... jas....you dont have BBCamerica on basic cable out there???...its on comcast basic cwsox...every station is reporting it so it is news...i think the fact that it was gaurded by an electrical fence with military troops including a general at least would lead one to think its a little more than a viagra plant...but with saddam you never know..it might be his personal hair dye plant

Was Blix given enough time to find weapons all over the nation of Iraq, destroy the ones he found (these are f***ing lethal weapons, that takes time) Being hurried throughout Iraq and not given much time by the United States, I am gonna say that Blix would have found them...if given the adequate time they needed to find everything. Also, they don't know what chemicals and stuff it is yet. So, let's wait for the analysis. i agree 100% with your last statement...if we handle this wrong and it turns out to be vats of rubbing alcohol or something it would be a huge PR nightmare.. for blix..hasnt he been there , or atleast the team he now heads been there since '97???...thats a lot of time

Thank God France is committing 30-40 troops who specialize in chemical and biological weapon identification, handling, and disposal I'd trust them over some average Joe who has no idea what the f*** he is doing. im sure our soldiers know to touch nothing....this could turn out to be nothing too...but msnbc is now reporting that there are "vats of chemicals" in the compound...we have to move careful on this because this could be the proof we need to turn world opinion on this war.. if this does turn out to be a chemical plants...100 square yard chemical plant...the question must be put to hans blix..why wasnt this found in your inspections??? this is the lead story on BBC america too

always has been, always will be i think colin powell agrees with you guys ... im sure this guy has some value to the president...otherwise he would have been fired for his bungles at the UN...whatever his strength it sure isnt in the form of public speaking...keep him way from a microphone

no arguement there...hopefully this is the last if the friendly fire
-
im watching fox right now..no news yet...according to reporter brett baire who is at the pentagon is saying that the officials there sya they are going to move extemely carefully with this...im guessing the area will have to be secured first so scientists can come in and investigate...probably be while before they find out whats there

about 50% of the casualties in the gulf war in '91 (about 125) were conidered to be from friendly fire....when you consider it is much more dangerous to fight an army on its own land then it is to expell them from another country and with 280,000 troops involved i think the friendly fire incidents have been very few...but any incident should be considered one too many and it needs to be investigated so we can keep improving on this

in the town najaf..90 miles south of baghdad.. a huge 100 acre complex surrounded by a electrical fence..one soldier injured in a booby trap explosion..the top general in the facility has been captured...no news yet on what type , if any , chemicals were found..foxnews is saying this has been confirmed by the pentagon good news on what has been a bad day

those transport helicopters we use are up to 40 years old...im not sure what kind this one was but if it was one of the older ones like the one that crashed in iraq we might want to consider upgrading them...we have all the latest in technology and still use 40 year old copters
-
okay ,thanks for the clarification..my mistake..
-
if true, it just proves that there was no way russia was ever gonna vote for a war resolution....of course there are stroies about france and all their business ties to iraq..the UN is really gonna suffer because of the whole iraqi situation

we have special ops on the ground all over iraq..hopefully somebody gets a fix on where the POW's are so we can try a search and rescue...

my wishes goes to you, my godson is in the seals and been out there for a very long time. right after 9/11 he left for the persian gulf with some leave here and there. i have been really been impress with the command and the tactics. however why not a siege? this monster is using children and hospital as a shield. turn off the electric by using a emf bomb. turn off the water and see what will become of it. cw..what unit is your son with???

i have it on comcast cable (formerly att)..its called BBC america 10 were captured. 5 shown dead. with wounds to there fore heads. They appear to have been executed. One female captured. She was shown with her boots missing and clothes torn.... its going to start getting nasty now... thats why im so against females in combat..the things thats gonna happen to that girl...they will use her torture against the male POWs to try and get them to give up info....its normal for males to want to protect females..thats gonna be used against them
-
You know it's there..... we just have to find it. any chemical stuff? none being reported at this time

if saddam (or whoever is in charge) starts using human shields around baghdad as we show up he will probably start killing them himself wit h mortar fire then use it as propaganda saying the US is killing iraqi civilians he cant win this war..all he can do is try and win the war of opinion ,especially in the arab world...he is hoping images of supposedly american troops blasting away on iraqi civilians will enrage the arab world even more

i guess that comes from having to talk over the war for 4 straight hours ..after awhile you just run out of things to say i guess...but the bbc had about 10 hours to review the tape and write their story..and they still talked about the marines being pinned down and in a fierce firefight.. i guess if you call small arms versus a tank fierce???

are they showing this tape on BBC???...ive been looking for it but cant find it??

anyone else watch the battle at umm qasr on live tv (thanks to sky tv out of britian)last night??..the british reporting is a joke...this reporter is saying about 120 republican gaurd soldiers have the US marines "pinned down"..that they are going to need a "whole battalion" to ovetake this position.. this is the hilarious part...marines are in a position of cover along side a road while two tanks are surveying the area to give a report back and take out any enemy positions...these marines are not under fire..they are drinking water and eating mre's..a marine lt. and sgt are walking right by the camera in the middle of the road...the reporter who is reporting they are pinned down is sitting on top of a small wall with his legs crossed while drinking a perrier...if they were "pinned down" by opposing forces this guy would be s***ting in his pants.. today on bbc tv..they are still reporting that the marines faced heavy resistence at umm qasr..the iraqis put up a great fight (that part i agree with) and the american marines there learned this will be no cakewalk..if i didnt see the battle for myself i would have thought from that description it was a huge fire fight...did they have the iraqi propaganda machine write that for them???btw..this "fierce battle" finally ended when we called in an air strike...game over the facts on this (from my eyes..guess you can take that for what its worth too:)) was this was a small pocket of resistance that was lying low when we secured the city..because we moved so fast towards baghdad there is no way we can secure any of these southern towns 100%..its good military strategy by iraq to let the US go through then try and mess up our supply lines and fight us from the rear..because no way can they take us on from the front... but WE had the 120 iraqis or so pinned down..they were using small arms to fire on a tank..thats suicide...all of this unit was either captured or killed...no casualties to coalition forces... to be fair..those iraqi soldiers fought bravely..they were willing to take on american tanks with small arms and put up enough resistence to force an air strike...but never once did the US marines even remotely come close to losing control of the situation..we could have ended that threat immedialtely with an air strike but we tried to convince them to surrender first...after 4 hours did we only then call in for an air strike...i cant confirm this but the building where they were located were encircled by american tanks doing recon before they pulled out for the airstrike..im hoping they reported back that they didnt see any civilians in the area before the air attack...atleast thats what it looked like..recon and surpress any small arms fire... if the BBC thinks thats strong resisentence i would hate to see what they would call a real fire fight....it will get alot worse as we head to baghdad...unless we can convince these republican gaurd units to surrender....love to see the spin when we get to baghdad

international red cross have said that iraq is already in violation of geneva convention...gotta pray for those guys bigtime...
