you gotta get at least 3 high upside guys for crochet, doesn't need to be their top guys, but you want a deal that isn't hedging everything on 1 or 2 guys. I would need 3 personally, add Tolle in there, I want a two way guy lol

Chicago sports needs to be burned to the ground, every single franchise is in shambles right now outside of the Cubs who still aren't close to being a championship caliber team

agreed with this philosophy look at the Sox for example, we don't get any of this table flipping change if they don't lose 303 games the last 3 years

Chicago sports overall is a huge pile of incompetence, pro franchises being ran by guys who aren't qualified to be there. Nepotism in full effect. At least Sox fans don't turn out when the team is awful, Bears fans just take it up the ass every sunday

that might be the worst last 36 seconds of clock management by a head coach I've ever seen in my life

Elijah Evans says crochet has too much injury risk to warrant more than just 2 top 100 players

Non-Tender Day
his entire contract? his remaining years are all optional for the team, they could just refuse to pick them up going forward. this isn't a benintendi situation

Montgomery story...
so are we convinced that he will be moved to 3B ? heard people mention he wasn't great defensively at SS, is that true according to the Sox?

what's Abreu's ceiling? a sub 800 OPS guy as a headliner seems light as f***, I guarantee someone else beats that, a 25yo light hitting RF who strikes out 140 times a year, the f***

CHSN to be available on antenna in Chicago
If CHSN ends up being a collosal failure, does that end up being the nail in the coffin that does drive the Sox out of Chicago? Or is there a fall back plan as far as TV rights? CHSN is by no means a sure thing from what I'm hearing from Jason Coyle

Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
haven't his IP have been declining the last 3-4 years? plus he's already had health concerns based on what I've read Drew Thorpe had bone spurs, haven't heard of anything alarming otherwise

Roki Sasaki Free Agency - Dodgers vs Blue Jays for Roki's heart
lol his arm is obviously gonna fall off sooner rather than later, red flags on those IP numbers the last few years

2025-2026 NHL Threadard
slightly off topic, but with the current trend of organizational name/mascot changes due to being potentially offensive to certain groups of people, will the hawks ever be forced to change their name or logo/mascot?

I don't think Caleb Williams quit, he just looks like a deer in the headlights on every play

24-25 NFL Thread
was checking the hawks record, didn't realize they were the 4th worst team in Hockey. it's actually amazing how Chicago sports are routinely one of the worst cities in pro sports year after year. every single org runs their team like a mom and pop store and refuses to get with the times. probably because they're all making money regardless, so why change?
-
24-25 NFL Thread
gotta be at least a 50% chance someone gets fired after the game. But the bears run their org like the Sox, they do things their way instead of the way successful franchises are run.

lol Caleb Williams has zero faith in his receivers.

If they lose to the Patriots at home, Eberflus is obviously fired right? I can't imagine he survives this

Would Jordan have eventually succeeded in the MLB?
I have always found this story fascinating. I never knew that he always preferred to be a baseball player growing up (through HS, and into college). His father even told people that he would land in the big leagues. Was he ever talented enough to eventually make the big leagues with enough seasoning? He seems to be one of those super athletes that are good enough to do whatever they want
