  1. still can't believe our GM is Chris Getz, seriously WHAT THE f***
  2. I would hope the Sox wouldn't deal all their chips to one team. Saw this (from June) and was like eh
  3. about fucking time, take that Grifol
  4. Is Skubal gonna be traded? if so, that would definitely lower the return for Crochet as Skubal isn't on an innings limit. Both are UFA in 2027 Crochet is performing better so far, but I think Skubal will overtake him in WAR as he piles up the innings
  5. I would prefer Baltimore, LAD, or Boston prospects for Crochet
  6. was referring to the talent return, it was in jest, but yeah I don't expect to get anything good back for Dejong
  7. Crochet's 1 IP from the ASG https://tinyurl.com/27dfs4tf
  8. ironically this is about the kind of return you can expect from a Dejong trade
  9. all-star game thread? lol Skenes is so ridiculous
  10. So any of these HS who are highly ranked are probably gonna go to school right
  11. is there a live feed for this late in the draft or are we just pulling info from Twitter
  12. as opposed to what, 16? there's only 64 games left. you think they're gonna win at the same clip with their best players all moved? if they don't trade Crochet and Robert, I'll give them 1 more win. That's fair
  13. 2003 Tigers were 26-72 after 98 games (+1.0GB of the 2024 Sox) They finished the season 43-119 My bold prediction is that the Sox will finish the season with fewer than 40 wins. 39-123
  14. Would be awesome if Boston jumped into the Crochet sweepstakes, could end up increasing the package from Baltimore, this is one scenario where having a stacked AL East benefits us greatly.
  15. it wasn't a strong draft outside the top 5 to 10 from what I've read, but I don't think Rhett Lowder would've gone before Hagen Smith if they both were in this draft
  16. Pirates are in their competitive window now though, you can't compare them to the current Sox.
  17. I would demand at least 1 FV60 guy for Crochet, I'm getting Dominguez from the Yanks, some of their fans seem to be okay with giving up Jones, but I want the higher upside guy in Dominguez sucks that he's hurt though, again. oblique. and he had TJ last Sept. I feel like this is a guy who you could fairly argue as a center piece for Crochet
  18. he set the NCAA strikeout record lol, the only reason he went 5th is injury concerns. his 17 strikeout game vs OSU, yeah he only threw 78 pitches. his ceiling is probably higher than every pitcher in our system.
  19. Why would you rush Hagen Smith to the bigs if you don't expect to have a competitive team for at least 2-3 years. even if he's ready, why would you start his clock before the team is even good. keep reading that he could be on the team in 2025 or 2026, are you kidding me. If he's dominating the minors, try to extend him to a team friendly deal for like 8+ yrs, at least you've got him for a couple more years I've got bad news for those people who think the Sox are gonna be good in 2 years
  20. Dollar Store franchise with unqualified people tending the cash register
  21. Is it pretty common to draft a pitcher on day 1 with a control rating of 40? I would imagine that being a HS pick, they feel like they could clean up his command and it wouldn't be an issie
  22. Leasure is a god damn liability to even have him on the roster, adios dude, please leave
  23. Wetherholt either wants too much money, or his medicals are susssssssss
