Eloy to Baltimore
i thought someone might've taken a shot at moncada, if he was healthy at some point, he could at least give you really good defense at 3b and, at times, streaky offense. people probably did call and ask about him, i'm guessing he's REALLY far away from being ready to play

Perhaps Jerry looked at other teams who've went through incredible stretches of losing such as Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Oakland, Detroit and felt the backlash wouldn't be that bad Chicago (and it's media market) aren't any of those cities Check out twitter, this team is getting absolutely destroyed. Has a major media market ever dealt with anything like this before?- Royals @ Sox, 7/31, 1:10 PM
didn't he say specifically earlier this year that he had no intentions of moving the team though i feel like if he felt the need to play that card, he would've done it- Royals @ Sox, 7/31, 1:10 PM
there's been rumors going around for a couple years that might hint at a sale, do you think Mellody Hobson bought that large portion of shares because she saw it as an investment opportunity? Remember when Reinsdorf, George Lucas and Mellody Hobson were all seen having dinner a couple years ago also I bet the team's sold within the next 2-3 years- Royals @ Sox, 7/31, 1:10 PM
payroll reduction and expiring contracts is all that matters when a team sale is on the horizon- Royals @ Sox, 7/31, 1:10 PM

James Stewart (Boston Sports Radio guy) said he was told that the Sox tried trading Crochet with Benintendi to the Red Sox. Nothing to verify but wouldn't shock anyone here I'm sure- Tanner Banks to Philly
10. William Bergolla SS Ht: 5'11" | Wt: 165 | B-T: L-R BA Grade: 50/High Track Record: Bergolla was the gem of the Phillies’ signing class in the international period that opened on Jan. 15, 2022. The Venezuelan native got a signing bonus of $2.05 million and put together an excellent pro debut in the Dominican Summer League, where he hit .380/.470/.423 with just three strikeouts in 83 plate appearances. The Phillies showed their faith in him in 2023 by skipping him over the Florida Complex League and straight to the Florida State League, where he racked up more walks (30) than strikeouts (17) in 55 games. His father, William Sr., was a middle infielder who appeared in 17 games for the 2005 Reds. Scouting Report: Bergolla’s game is centered on putting the bat on the ball and playing steady, reliable defense at shortstop. The 18-year-old made a remarkable amount of contact at Low-A, producing an overall miss rate of just 5.4%, a minuscule in-zone whiff rate of 3.3% and a chase rate of 18.1%. But that contact came with minimal impact. His exit velocities were well below-average and he found the barrel less often than he whiffed.- Flaherty to the Dodgers
