JR sucks but the level of spending isn't what's killing this franchise. its how they spend their money. they are inept, they don't invest in quality coaching, technology, scouting, nor do they sign the right free agents (check out the latest Southside Sox article on Rick Hahn in the other thread) TB spends a fraction of what the Sox do. It's not that JR doesn't spend, it's that he's letting unqualified ivy leaguers use his debit card.- 4/14 - BAL at CWS - Wells vs Clevinger - 7:10 PM ET
oh a sell off is coming baby, book it- 4/14 - BAL at CWS - Wells vs Clevinger - 7:10 PM ET
This is the answer I've been preaching the last 3 years on this forum. People gotta stop giving them their money. Instead I get the most ridiculous excuses for why that won't work. It will work, it works in literally every single industry. Don't let people gaslight you into believing nonsense. If they lose money, shareholders and investors will demand change, period.- 4/14 - BAL at CWS - Wells vs Clevinger - 7:10 PM ET
it's not that crazy- 4/14 - BAL at CWS - Wells vs Clevinger - 7:10 PM ET
Even if the Sox come back and win this game, it's so obvious they're worse than last year, this might be some of the worst Sox baseball in a two week span I've seen in maybe 10 years- 4/14 - BAL at CWS - Wells vs Clevinger - 7:10 PM ET

gotta think that's the end of Jake Diekmam- 4/14 - BAL at CWS - Wells vs Clevinger - 7:10 PM ET
pitchers should just load the bases against the Sox. opponents ERA when the Sox have the bases juiced has gotta be pretty low.- 4/14 - BAL at CWS - Wells vs Clevinger - 7:10 PM ET
massive play by Sosa- 4/14 - BAL at CWS - Wells vs Clevinger - 7:10 PM ET
beginning of the end right here?- The White Sox have had 5 managers in the last 12 years.
I would say it's pretty safe to assume Grifol will probably be gone in 3 years.- The White Sox have had 5 managers in the last 12 years.
Look at the list for: Cleveland, KC, and Minnesota over the same time span. Sox have CLEARLY had an issue with burning through managers. I don't give a s%*# how you include Ozzie/Cooper, the point still stands on the data and the data is clear cut.- The White Sox have had 5 managers in the last 12 years.
Thread title says it all. I wonder how hard it would be for any team to succeed when there's a new coach every 2.4 years on average. I could've said 6 managers if I wanted to split hairs.- Jose Abreu in Houston thread
They let our best hitter and clubhouse leader and possibly (?) the cog that drives the Cuban Pipeline to Chicago go to a team that has absolutely crushed us in recent years yes he's older, he's slower, and based on fWAR (especially last year) not worth 20/yr but imo he's gonna bounce back and have a great year in Houston, his early numbers aren't concerning at all to me. I'd rather have Abreu at DH than a guy who plays 100 games a year.- This team is going to lose 90 plus games...
holy f***, lol. gonna need more than billboards and funny signs to fix this. cancelling season tix and not going to games is a start- Ghost Runner Rule
well if you're the home team, you wouldn't walk the first batter because obvious they could put up a crooked number before your first AB.. obviously as the away team you could use this strategy, especially if you're up after the top half of the inning. makes no sense why the away team wouldnt do this. which means the Sox won't do it.- This team is going to lose 90 plus games...
expecting an entirely new offensive approach to what they had ingrained into them the last 2 years with Menechino is a fools errand, they're a singles/doubles hitting lineup. at least Robert seems to have his power stroke. - 4/14 - BAL at CWS - Wells vs Clevinger - 7:10 PM ET
