  1. Rays tied it up, 1-1 top of the 5th in that game DET 1-0 over BAL, top of the 6th
  2. here we go, danks just throwing garbage up to this point, everything is hittable
  3. something to look for, how many batters does Greinke strike out today on called third strikes i'd bet money it won't be many, which means if we are more patient we'll see a lot of 2-2 or 3-2 counts Greinke seems to get our guys out well before it reaches that point unfortunately
  4. Bottom of our order is gonna look silly today
  5. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ May 31, 2009 -> 01:33 PM) Every batter should work the count in this game!!! if you go back to the first or second page in this thread, i posted that's exactly how you beat Zack but that's pretty much common sense at this point I think
  6. Wise gets good wood on the ball, but right where they were playing him
  7. My previous post about DET & MIN scores was inaccurate It's DET 1 - BAL 0 MIN 1 - TB 0
  8. Greinke has a past history of having an anxiety disorder, i'd like to see us lay down some bunts and steal some bases and get into this guys head
  9. I was certain the Royals were going to tie it up that inning, Danks proved me wrong, nice way to pitch out of it there Let's hold em..please
  10. Jacob's swing plane is the exact same every pitch it looks like, just dont throw it there and he'll probably swing and miss
  11. lol, game is about to go that direction soon
  12. sweet, an 0-2 ball that we get wiped off the board because of the timeout
  13. Danks might make it through 5 innings at this rate
  14. leadoff walk, this might be one of those games
  15. QUOTE (jphat007 @ May 31, 2009 -> 01:13 PM) You guys are some whiny mother f***ers. Some of our fans absolutely suck. You sound upset, you can leave if you want.
  16. Ramirez's at-bat was the catalyst for this inning, first pitch groundout, this run probably won't score now.
  17. GET THIS RUN IN, AT ALL COSTS! GETTIN ON HIS HORSE, WTG SCOTTY
  18. I see Pods and Alexei laying down a combined 3 bunts at least, today
  19. one thing i've noticed about Greinke (i've watched almost all of his starts since I have the MLB TV Premium package), is that he gets so many hitters out on that hard slider down and in to lefties and down and away to righties, that pitch appears as a strike and is never one he never throws that pitch in the beginning of a count, he always throws a 4 seam 95-96mph fastball on the corner and sometimes over the plate for a strike, when hitters are down 0-2 or 1-2, he starts throwing that devastating slider this is a situation of course where, to be successful against Zack, you need to stop trusting your eyes on 2-strike counts and start analyzing the count your in and what pitch to expect instead, work the count to 2-2 or 3-2 and try to get him to feature something in the strike zone (his curveball or that mid-90's 4 seam fastball) against our lineup, i think a pitcher like Zack would rather walk a bunch of guys and try to get out of a 2-on or bases loaded jam, because his stuff is so good rather than throw hittable pitches on 2-2 or 3-2 with that said, it's easier said than done of course, i'm not speculating as to finding the key to beating Zack, but it pretty much is the solution. executing that will be the challenge of course
