  1. if we lose this one, i dunno if i've seen a more disappointing loss for the sox in a long time, except for maybe that 2-hitter Buerhle threw against the Blue Jays a while back
  2. tie game good pitch, wayyyy inside, he just turned on that one. next pitch, gavin throws a nice slider and HP Ump calls it a ball, bleh
  3. c'mon Gavin, you can pitch out of this easily Gavin's changeup has been filthy today
  4. nice hit by Dye, honestly i've liked everything I've seen from JD this year, he hasn't really hit a multi-game slump yet so far AJ seems to be a bit over-confident at the plate, he'll watch that .400+ average drop rather rapidly because of it
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 06:28 PM) There was some talk about it in the negative thread. there's talk about Uribe in every thread
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 06:25 PM) lack of attention? You must have missed the talk of him getting moved down in the order the other day. I was talking about on here, I didn't miss anything.
  7. uribe's lack of run production and low average drawing a lot of attention away from Thome's really really low batting average, he's hitting .180 as of right now lol
  8. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 06:06 PM) he was safe. glad umpire made a bad call it was close, it looked like cabreras glove grazed millars sock, if any contact was made
  9. when gavin gives up the first hit, it'll be interesting to see how he pitches out of the stretch edit: first hit there, crede couldn't make the play gavin had problems pitching out of the stretch last year and in spring, fwiw
  10. Guthrie keeping his team in it, this could get scary later on.
  11. Uribe is so unbelievably bad, he's getting worse seemingly in every at bat.
  12. guthrie carving meatballs down the middle of the plate and has been for the whole game, and yet we can't get good wood on the ball, ugh
  13. big jim ties Mays for 18th all-time career walks (1464), congrats meanwhile, PK erases the walk with a GIDP, damn.
  14. i guess Gavin didn't get the memo "You can only pitch well against Detroit."
  15. 1-2-3 for gavin, nice start, fell behind 1-0 on each batter though
  16. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 05:08 PM) Got the Baltimore broadcast and I gotta say Gary Thorne and Buck Martinez are a good team. Thorne has a great announcer voice.... i watched the archived broadcast from last night, they are definitely a great duo. they spoke highly of the white sox throughout most of the game, in fact they split it up about 50/50 for each team, it was a very insightful broadcast
