  1. i feel like i just timewarped back to 2007 right here. deja vu
  2. was watching some of the tigers game, lol granderson has a noodle arm like owens
  3. what i've learned after this game boone logan is spotty, he's either really good or really bad and you can't really tell which boone you're going to get when he takes the mound, generally if he's going 1-0, then 2-0, you have bad-boone dotel needs more velocity on his pitches when he's facing lefties, also his command seems to suffer when facing lefties. he's being paid too much to be a specialist, he needs to do the f***ing job thornton: see boone, except easier to hit and less command of the strike zone, falls behind hitters far too often ocab hasn't really done well in the 2-hole this year, and swisher hasn't been scoring a lot of runs, mainly due to thome & konerko's slumps, however today swisher is failing to get on base and thome/konk are actually hitting/getting on base, we need the whole 1 through 4 to click at the same time to make this offense respectable, otherwise it'll just be another average power-hitting lineup our bullpen is looking like 2007, started off in April looking really nice, exciting a lot of people, then started to suck complete monkey ass.
  4. hopefully the innings won't pile up on either of these guys and they'll be able to both go 200+ this year
  5. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 19, 2008 -> 11:35 PM) 3 major league innings makes you a veteran now? He's a 23 year old pitcher that the Sox lost in the Rule V draft, the A's decided it wasn't worth keeping him on the big club all season so they returned him to the Sox for $25,000. He won't even sniff Chicago this season. wait, 23 years old? i must be thinking of someone else, another late-30's/early-40's hernandez that used to be in the sox organization, not called El Duque.
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 19, 2008 -> 11:25 PM) He is in AA, so it doesn't affect anything. he's in AA but he's a veteran pitcher as far as MLB experience is concerned, the sox could bring him up from AA if they wanted to
  7. unreal, what's the point of this? if this somehow blocks wasserman i'm going to be pissed
  8. look at our record at this point last year, after 17 games, we were 9-8, this year we're 10-7 1 game better, don't get too excited for this years team just yet, with the way our offense is resembling 2007, this could be a long year.
  9. no reason mark should be throwing like he's got deadarm, wonder if those spring training tidbits about his shoulder or elbow or whatever it was, is bothering him
  10. mark has absolutely no movement on any of hits pitches, this is ridiculous. why is he still in the game?
  11. QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 19, 2008 -> 07:33 PM) There is none. It's all reliving the past. I wish I had the option of radio and hitting the mute on tv. yeah the 7 second delay on the radio pretty much makes that impossible
  12. this game is over mark has good stuff, not questioning his ability but, soft-tossers are just the type of pitchers that this TB lineup excels against
  13. QUOTE (SnB @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 10:29 AM) woke up thinking someone was having sex in my bed ...make all the jokes you want yeah that's what happened to me, was half-asleep and all the sudden my bed started moving back and forth, very weird feeling
  14. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 10:20 AM) I just felt something too, maybe aftershock? is it normal for it to happen 5 hours later though?
  15. i swear i just felt another one just now
  16. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/powerranking?week=4 Cubs manage the #2 spot, given their shoddy bullpen and rotation, I don't see how that's possible, but whatever.
  17. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 10:20 PM) I attached the mp3 of that in the cubs thread. LOL, man that mp3 is priceless.
  18. thome, konerko, and uribe should not be given a free pass because we're winning, these 3 players should be held to a certain standard of performance given how much they are being paid, it's unacceptable that they're not playing up to their potential, and yeah uribe's potential is way higher than how he's played the last 3 years (2004 wasn't terrible) perhaps a.. swish cab dye thome konerko aj quentin crede uribe lineup, wouldn't be so terrible until these guys start hitting. let dye get more RBI opportunities since he's actually hitting the ball right now, by batting 4th
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 11:21 PM) I was laughed at today for saying I think Uribe is a better fielding SS than Cabrera. Am I crazy? cabrera probably has better range because he's smaller and quicker, but uribe's arm at short is 2nd to none IMO
  20. wasserman where are youuuuuuuuuuuu
  21. at least we don't play the twins or indians for a while.
