  1. good game, would've liked to see more O' figuring who was throwing against us who pitches tomorrow, floyd? it'll be nice to see him face a lineup other than detroit
  2. great, another lefty pitching against us tomorrow, when will the madness end? edit: i hope he doesn't make our hitters look foolish, his stats are very bad, he had a WHIP last year of about 1.6, and he's off to a really bad start this year (9.2 IP, 7.45 ERA, 1.84 WHIP, 3 HR, 7BB, 8K) this should be the exact type of pitcher we need to face with contreras on the mound, to have a chance
  3. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 09:34 PM) they gots problems.....now betancourt moves from set up to closer...jensen lewis looked a bit shaky and still can't really be trusted...and kobayashi is an untested rookie ....this leaves alot of question marks in their pen jensen lewis didn't look shaky at all, he K'd two hitters with a really nice 2-seamer on the outside corner, and tek hit a solo shot off a very well located pitch outside and down, tek just went oppo with it and had enough to get it over the wall lewis looked pretty damn good IMO
  4. 1. Chicago 2. Kansas City 3. Minnesota 4. Cleveland 5. Detroit is 2008 the friggin bizzaro world or something? lol
  5. Quote from Crede yesterday: "I can't recall a time since A-ball that I've started out feeling this good, this early."
  6. Buster Olney this morning on M&M "I was speaking to my good friend Peter Gammons about the Chicago White Sox, and we both feel that we didn't give this team enough of a chance in the off-season, but with the additions Kenny Williams has added, we feel this team is definitely for real." This was pretty much what he said, after stating the Royals and Twins weren't really going to be contenders this year. So ESPN'ers finally giving this team a chance at going to the playoffs in '08, heheh
  7. did anyone catch gavin's post-game interview "the last two years I felt like I was pitching in someone else's body" interesting.
  8. QUOTE (TLAK @ Apr 10, 2008 -> 04:41 AM) I like tall pitchers of beer. daggum right.
  9. i can see this game going either way, with both teams scoring a ton of runs.
  10. learn from your mistakes (please) for your next outing danks, that will not cut it and we won't go anywhere this year unless you pitch like a #3. if jose sh**s the bed tomorrow it's gonna make for a long weekend.
  11. take swisher out ozzie and let brian play, you douchebag :/
  12. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 9, 2008 -> 04:25 PM) No. The MLB doesn't allow games to be broadcast over the internet. they do, but only when they're making money from it, i.e. MLB Gameday Audio streams
  13. tribe puts up a 4 spot in the 6th 6-4 angels........
  14. angels lighting up paul byrd, napoli with a slam and then garret anderson just hit a solo shot 5-0 angels edit: back to back jacks by anderson and kotchman 6-0 angels hahahahaha
  15. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 9, 2008 -> 01:04 PM) stupid WCIU... good thing there is mlb.tv i have mlb.tv but i bought the 1yr package so i could watch all the AL central games, also so i could download all this years sox games (have all the games saved except the first one, because mlb.com doesn't have it archived for some reason), but living in IL every sox game is blacked out on mlb.tv so, even though I don't have WCIU down here in the Peoria area, I can't watch WCIU sox games on mlb.tv, it's ridiculous.
  16. Paul Byrd just gave up a 2nd inning Slam to Mike Napoli lol 4-0 angels
  17. keep in mind, how much of an impact confidence has on a team, whether it's affecting a team in a positive way, or negatively. right now, every team in the league that faces the Tigers has an overwhelming amount of confidence that they can decimate the Tigers bullpen, I think right now that is a huge factor in when the Tigers win their first game and ultimately when they start playing winning baseball.
  18. justin speier just blows the save in anaheim, now the angels have to score in the 9th to keep cleveland out of the win column damn it! edit: ballgame, cle wins 4-3
  19. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 10:55 PM) Yeah I agree. As long as their winning I could care less. i agree i guess it's a good problem to mull over when the only thing you can complain about with your team is "damn it, they need to do something about the beards on this team" im seriez
  20. everyone speaking for the tigers always says "well it's early". yeah it's early, but the way they're playing, it's really difficult for an entire team to push the ON button at the same time, and they could easily struggle all year long, ala the 2007 Chicago White Sox this is a very real possibility, i'd just like everyone to realize that no, they won't go win-less all year, but they could very well be a .500 or below team just for the same reason the 07 sox were, starting off on a very slow start, terrible bullpen, 'OK' starting pitching, and all of the hitters are putting inordinant amounts of pressure on themselves trying to hit and ultimately extending their slump throughout most of the year
  21. QUOTE (rcpweiner @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 01:49 AM) Well, Borowski certainly sucks. Maybe Kenny wasn't so crazy to spend some extra money fortifying the bullpen in a division where Borowski and Todd Jones are two of the closers. unfortunately Soria and Nathan live down the block.
  22. wow javy might make it through the 6th inning with around 100 pitches at this rate
