  1. I see us going 6-5 or 7-4 in the remaining games vs the red sox and yankees, that's my prediction i see us playing a little more closely against the angels, winning 1 or 2 of those games, and the same for the oakland series
  2. It's nice to see Quentin and Dye's production not slowing down (One could say it's getting even better, especially Q with his 8 HR in his last 13 games..) As long as these guys don't cool off similar to how Dye/Thome/Konk slowed down in the second half of 2006, we should hold a rather comfortable lead for the rest of the year as our schedule doesn't really get all that difficult after this tigers/twins/royals road trip Also it's awesome that Q & Dye (And Thome as of late) don't seem to be having problems with the elite pitchers of the AL, they seem to rake against just about everyone, which is awesome
  3. with Thome hitting very well now, along with dye and quentin, our offense seems to be on a roll
  4. Jay-D, H.O.V.A.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 25, 2008 -> 06:56 AM) 96 days in first place, 70 in a row. +2.5 over MN, 5.5 over DET 100 down, 62 to go. on pace to a 92-70 season, assuming we play .570 ball the rest of the way, our schedule couldn't possibly be any worse for the rest of the year from what it's already been. this next 10 games could arguably be the last 'difficult' part of our schedule for the rest of the year
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 05:27 PM) I believe you guys are thinking of Gamel. John Gamel, John G. How long have I been looking...
  7. we aren't getting duch, kenny's trades are *never* the ones you hear about, you guys know this
  8. QUOTE (lukeman89 @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 05:02 PM) hopefully crede gets back because he LOVES Comerica. career line of .294/.345/.613 isn't robertson a lefty though crede lefties
  9. fortunately contreras is on the DL .. AND we don't face Galarraga, who is arguably their best pitcher right now
  10. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 22, 2008 -> 08:59 PM) HUGE win tonight. Great job by MB. Timely HR by Swish and great job by Alexei to blow that game wide open. if the lead was only 6-1 with the bases juiced, this game might've ended differently that's for sure
  11. lol alexei has the same amount of walks this year as homeruns
  12. hopefully dye will be back for Richard's start tomorrow
  13. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 09:38 PM) So they are going somewhere fast? Steady she goes, maybe they should be going slow if they are going too fast isn't going anywhere = is going nowhere
  14. thornton and logan are the ones that seem to be getting rocked lately, bobby octavio carrasco (and russel, but he's gone now) masset have looked above average imo
  15. what a joke this team is cant wait to hear the calls to rongey
  16. i'm so sick of this team only being able to hit off pitchers they're familiar with
  17. nice stretch Boone is having right here, along with our pathetic offense
  18. I only know how to do this with a Verizon Wireless account and my LG VX8300, just FYI 1. Get an mlb.tv package (Obviously) 2. Go here and reprogram your phone to enable it's DUN (Dial-up Networking), by default it's disabled. Most verizon accounts have an unlimited internet package for about $5.00 more per month. after 9pm and on weekends the internet usage will not use your minutes, so these are the prime times when to use what i'm explaining. otherwise the internet package will use your calling minutes 3. Attach your phone to your PC via the USB cable it (should have) came with. 4. Install the drivers for your phone (Should be able to find them rather easily online, though for Vista 64bit which is what I use, it was a bit tougher) 5. Create a dial-up profile under your network connection settings, and name it something like Verizon or whatever. Use #777 for the dialing number, username will be xxxyyyyyyy@vzw3g.com (xxx=your area code, yyyyyyy=your 7 digit cell number), with a password of vzw Once you're connected, browse to mlb.com and their system will not detect your current IP address as an Illinois ISP address, most likely an IP address located out of state wherever Verizon keeps their servers. I'm currently watching the sox game right now I'm unable to do this with my comcast cable account
  19. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 02:50 PM) Anderson sporting the .226 average. konerko wants BA's autograph

  22. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 02:34 PM) so much for our "bad bullpen", dotel and Carrasco were awesome today i was thinking "don't post this yet, wait til the inning is over", god damn it
  23. so much for our "bad bullpen", dotel and Carrasco were awesome today
  24. i've never seen as many hitters swing and miss on a 91mph fastball as they do against Dotel, do his pitches look offspeed out of his hand or something and then it's too late to catch up? not sure i understand it
