  1. chone isn't a FA after this year is he? we'd have to trade for him
  2. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:45 PM) How did Balfour put up such great numbers by throwing nothing but fastballs? 97 on the corners
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:43 PM) Be careful what you wish for. I don't want to see Taveras in CF next season, while we give up all of our trade chips for one year of Chone. when did tavaras qualify for high OBP
  4. i'm not watching these asshats celebrate, turning the game off soon
  5. how long have we been harping on this organization to get us some fast+high OBP guys, a leadoff hitter, and a CF and it never happens, year after year?
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:35 PM) PLEASE ORLANDO CABRERA, DO NOT GET HURT FOR THE NEXT 2 MONTHS! is that a first round pick?
  7. ironic that pitching is what killed our chances in this game, lol granted the offense was terrible but we gave up 6 f***ing runs lmao
  8. QUOTE (Wanne @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:27 PM) My money says Swisher K's..... I wouldn't trust you with my money!!!!!
  9. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 05:25 PM) Griffey swings at ball four again. Hilarious. wouldn't matter if he walked, alexei would have to face Balfour if he got on
  10. vazquez's implosion in game 1 set the tone for the rays in this series, after that first win, they played with an advantage in the series from that point on, which allowed their offense to play loose and be a lot more free-swinging than it allows a team that's trailing and has to play more cautious i hope he's gone next year
  11. Getting rid of Dye would piss me the f*** off
  12. It's not over guys, we'll get to this guy
  13. haha, gas can back in full force
  14. dotel is hilarious, 3-0. lol
  15. take away two stupid pitches from gavin to Upton, and this game is 3-2 right now
  16. QUOTE (joejoedairy @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 04:53 PM) I guess maddon realized sonnanstine had been doin it with smoke and mirrors too bad nobody on our team figured that out
  17. our offense only does well against pitchers who pitch like they're scared of our hitters when a pitcher comes at us with the mindset that our offense isn't THAT good, we get dominated
  18. simply put, gavin floyd and clayton richard are young guys who are afraid of pitching to contact, a common problem with young kids, that problem escalates in games with more meaning just my opinion
  19. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 04:32 PM) I like Richard, the Rays are a better team, they outlasted the Red Sox,they have a lot of ways they can beat you,its their year...our team has to improve for next year but overall I m optmistic going forward...we can't beat too many teams with our one dimensional offense. good post
  20. I feel bad for Gavin, for someone that early in his career to feel that he probably is the main cause for the loss (not the only cause, of course. you need to score runs) Danks, Floyd, and Buehrle are a good core though for next year, we just need to figure out what we're going to do with 4 and 5
  21. the guys in the dugout look defeated, thome looked sad
  22. it's hard isn't it evan, when javy isn't pitching, huh?
  23. lol when your season hangs on the balance of clayton richard (granted, he's a better option than floyd right now), you can't help but laugh
  24. Clayton with the best defensive decision of his MLB career
