QUOTE (Cazzball @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 12:42 AM) hey...big sox fan in ny, i've been lurking on these boards since 04 when i found u guys...don't post ever, but i really wanna listen to those cubs fans. is there a website that streams it for free? http://player.play.it/player/player.html?i...onestat=wscr-am
  4. Super emo guy on the score now, burning all his old cub merchandise, it's AWESOME!
  5. seriously, Jason Goff sounds demoralized
  6. Jason Goff and Abattacola sound like they're suicidal, I'm not even joking Turn on the score for some comedy
  7. How many Cubs FO jobs will be replaced and/or players will be dealt after this collapse?
  8. win the next 3? yeah because it's that easy lol we need a better team (in terms of speed, defense, hitting ability, and bullpen) to beat the rays 3 games in a row we are surely lacking in all of those areas we're lucky to even be IN the playoffs
  9. QUOTE (FranktheTank35 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 11:28 PM) My gut tells me we'll be done after Sunday.. hopefully I'm wrong. same, the offense just hasn't had that spark since the Detroit & Cleveland games
  10. this team is hilarious can't even get a simple base hit when it matters i'd like to see Swisher dealt, no f***ing questions asked about that, the dude is f***ing scared to swing the bat he's gotta be the worst hitter in our lineup at keeping an at-bat alive by fouling pitches off, because he never fouls anything off on 3-2
  11. sunday: 3:07 monday: 4:07 game 5: 5:07 CST
  12. I hope Dan Bernstein is drowning his sorrows in a cocktail of Jack Daniels and Cianide (I know he says he's a Sox fan, but I swear to god he's a f***ing cubs fan) I hate that jackass
  13. "THIS BALLGAME IS OVAH!" 10-1 edit: 4 errors LOL
  14. thought they struggled against lefties? ah, must be lefties not named Mark Buehrle: APR19: 7IP, 12H, 5 ER JUN01: 6IP, 7H, 3 ER gross, we need to hope our hitters show up against kazmir
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 09:27 PM) SHUT UP! 7-0 lol
  16. 6-0 in the 7th? this game is over
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 04:49 PM) This thread is a joke. Is this the same Richard that sports an era of over 6? He had a couple of nice innings in a game that we were trailing by 3 before eventually remembering he's Clayton Richard and loading the bases before being taken out. If he starts the game we still lose. i think you have a ridiculously selective memory
  18. QUOTE (Hawkfan @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 04:29 PM) my hats off to him for saving our bullpen. Thats it. that's it? this was a f***ing PLAYOFF game, i don't think you're seeing the whole picture here
  19. jesus cry more guys.
  20. for those of you saying "just win one", what makes you so confident that the rays won't win both games at the cell? they've handed us our ass at home this year
  21. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 04:00 PM) Tampa got to him the 2nd time around, so I will reserve judgement on what could have been and give him credit for the 1 2/3 innings. They swung at the first pitch, that's not really "getting to him", more than changing their approach. I'm not ready to say that Clayton can't make adjustments himself
  22. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 03:57 PM) Its easy in hindsight to say Richard should have pitched. But if he starts and gets off to a bad start the whole series could be over. With Javy out there even if he f***s up we arent going to potentially ruin a player. Richard could be a future player for the Sox, if he gets roughed up in his first play off game who knows how his career pans out. For better or worse the Sox put Richard in the best position to succeed and he did that. Now if he works off that maybe we will have a pretty solid LH bull pen arm for the rest of the playoffs and next year maybe a quality starter. It's not hindsight when you said you wanted him starting before this game even began
  23. What an outing by Clayton, in the post-season no less. He had 5 K's in the first 1 2/3 innings that he pitched. Sick Imagine if he had started the game.
