only way i see this trade working out well for us is if Konerko is traded, Swisher moves to CF, Dye plays 1st and Griffey plays RF we're basically getting a guy who's absolutely brutal on defense, according to the guy that Lawrence just spoke to from Cincinatti our defense is 2nd to last in the AL, you have to wonder how Griffey being in our lineup as anything but a DH doesn't hurt the team

i don't like looking at a players stats on the whole, until the season is over. griffey has something like a 13 or 14 game hitting streak and his July numbers are really good

again, look at Griffey's july numbers, he's hitting the ball very well this month Dye: .345/.421/.655, 6 HR, 15 RBI, 9 BB, 17 K Griffey: .271/.386/.541, 5 HR, 17 RBI, 15 BB, 15 K if he could sustain those numbers for the rest of the year, this makes our lineup much better. we'd most likely have to limit his games played to 4-5 a week, to ensure his health though

For what it's worth, Griffey is hitting .271, with a .927 OPS in July, with 5 HR, 17RBI, 15 BB & 15 K not too shabby, destroys what Konerko has been doing that's for damn sure
