QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Oct 7, 2009 -> 02:48 AM) I love the bears....but we are not better than the Ravens or NE (defense and coaching respectively) The Bears really should be 4-0 right now, I don't know why you would come to that conclusion but so far I wouldn't say either the Ravens or Patriots are better than the Bears.. at worst they are even..

Official 2009-2010 NFL Thread
You could make any argument for who is the best team but you need to look at a lot of other things while considering it.. The Saints? Their offense has looked pretty meh the last two games.. They beat Detroit, a McNabbless Eagles team, a terrible Buffalo team, and an overrated Jets team. Sure, their defense is good even though they only have 4 total sacks through 4 games for such a "dominating" defense. Either way, their offense is no good anyways. The Colts? They squeeked by a mediocre Jacksonville team, they should have been beaten in Miami, they beat Seattle big deal.. and they beat Arizona. The Colts are generally one of the better teams in the NFL but they haven't exactly done anything so far this season to make you say they are the best team. The Broncos? please. The Giants? They have wins over Washington, Kansas City, Tampa Bay, and Dallas. Washington has problems and TB and KC are going to be picking in the top 5 in April. They have a great rushing game and can get after the QB, and if Eli plays as good as he did last season and so far this season they make a strong case. If his injury proves to be troublesome, you can prolly write them off. The Vikings? They beat Cleveland, Detroit, San Francisco, and Green Bay. The Packers are a good team, so are the 49ers. Cleveland and Detroit, not so much. They beat the Packers worse than the score showed and Favre was outstanding. Hes pretty much been outstanding in every game so far. They have the best RB in the league, and prolly the best OL and DL in the league. So there is five undefeated teams, we can cross of the Broncos because they are not one of the best teams in the league. That leaves us with four. Lets cross of the Saints next, yeah their defense has looked better but two of the teams they have played were led by rookie QBs and Buffalo has been bad on offense. You dont win championships with a video game offense and decent defense. After 4 games, im not going to buy into their defense just yet especially with how poorly it was last season. Now we are down to three, we can cross of the Colts next. Any team with Peyton Manning on it will contend, and the Colts are always one of the better teams in the league. Miami absolutely shredded them with their running game, and if their defense would have made a stop here or there the Colts lose that game. You need to be able to stop the run, maybe a healthy Bob Sanders changes their defense. They also are relying on Collie and Garcon as young WRs, that may also hamper them at some point in the season as well. They are still good though. That leaves us with the Giants and Vikings. They both have very strong lines on both sides of the ball, they both are a run first team. You've got a ball control offense with a strong defense that can put pressure on the QB. They both have good quarterbacks. Both of them have everything you need to be a legit super bowl contender. You play defense, you put pressure on the QB, and you can run the ball. You can make a case for either of them, I just think its the Vikings. Favre was also playing with a bum shoulder at the end of the season last year as well, nevermind that he was 38/39 going to a 4-12 team and almost immediately himself turning them into a playoff team. If Favre is completely healthy all year long, Minnesota is just a scary team. Its between the Vikings and the Giants right now and you can pretty much be right on with either, but if you compare them to the other top teams.. I think Minnesota would beat any of them.. My power poll would be.. 1. Minnesota Vikings 2. New York Giants 3. Indianapolis Colts 4. New Orleans Saints 5. Chicago Bears 6. New England Patriots 7. Baltimore Ravens 8. San Francisco 49ers

QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 09:08 PM) I agree. Not because of favre, but because their Oline and Dline combo is the best in football. Minnesota is maybe 2-2 without Favre, but I cant argue with the OL DL comment because that really is the main thing..

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 08:32 PM) Giants and Colts might have something to say about that. But they're without question the best team in the division. The Giants and Colts can suck a cock, the Vikings are the best team in the league.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 08:14 PM) The Vikings have easily the most talented and complete team in the division. That left side of their O-line is as good as it gets. They are the best team in the NFL

2009: A Big Step To Our Next World Series
I don't know how he is gonna do it, but, if you think KW is going to bring back the same offense you are mistaken. After repeatedly saying how disappointing this season was and how he will make changes, I don't see any way that KW doesn't make a solid effort at changing things on offense. I wouldn't get down on our offensive potential for 2010 just yet, there's no way KW goes into next season with the same lineup..

2009: A Big Step To Our Next World Series
QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 02:14 AM) No, no they don't. If any member of our team hit in the second half, and any member of our bulpen outside of Thorton pitched well in the 2nd half we win the division. Blaming it on Jenks is pure stupidity. Thornton had a 3.00 2nd Half ERA Dotel 3.25 Pena 3.44 Carrasco 3.72 Jenks and Linebrink were the worst, with Linebrink by far the most pathetic. Jenks was about as good as Randy Williams in the 2nd half all things considered. We also were the 2nd best in the AL for team ERA. This season is totally on the offense.. when is the last time we didn't have someone hit 30 HR? Were prolly not even gonna have a player with over 90 RBI.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 11:51 AM) Would you have the same sympathy if he cried about people being mean to the Cubs? I kinda doubt it. I wouldn't, because this is Soxtalk not MLBtalk. Its kinda unfair though that the Packers fans on here cant use the NFL thread because 90% of the board hates the Packers.

QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Oct 1, 2009 -> 04:38 AM) Man your taste in movies really sucks. Not really, I just watch everything instead of just some things. I am pretty sure all of the movies you really like I have seen too, so don't get it confused like that list I made was like my favorite movies or something, they were just movies that I have watched in the past that I enjoyed.

Out of all of these movies in this list these are the ones I have seen and enjoyed... #97 Boat Trip #94 The New Guy #74 Envy #71 College #64 Corky Romano #61 Good Luck Chuck #39 Miss March #36 The Whole Ten Yards #33 Delta Farce #30 Fear Dot Com #25 Meet The Spartans #18 The Master of Disguise #10 Witless Protection #7 Strange Wilderness #2 One Missed Call A few things.. Miss March and Strange Wilderness were really funny and I loved them, I don't know why they are on here. The others I wont argue with it, they aren't great movies but I did enjoy them. Ive seen a bunch of other movies on this list as well, how have some of you only seen 1 or 2? I guess I just watch way more movies than the average person does.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 25, 2009 -> 01:54 AM) I wouldn't say no way. Bradford only threw for 96 yards in the first half because of the reason he got injured: no o-line. True, but then again Texas (And Colt McCoy especially) looked pretty weak against Wyoming in the first half and then exploded in the second half.. which I am sure a full game with Bradford prolly ends close to the same against a solid BYU team..
