Unlike some of our other pitchers, Mark has grabbed his nuts so far and made pitches.

Around The Horn / PTI
QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 09:36 PM) PTI has run its course IMO. It doesnt have the same zing it used to have, it seems like whenever I tune in either Kornheiser or Wilbon is gone and one of the ATH retards is filling in, and the subject matter gets completely dumbed down. ATH horn is completely atrocious, I hope it goes away never to be heard from again It needs more LeBatard.

Pizza
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 09:57 PM) Not gonna lie, their pizza is actually very good. Have you had their breakfast pizza? It's like after they decided to throw on eggs and cheese, they make sure to get any of the grease that might drip off and pour it back on. It's heavenly.

Iowa A.D. Under Fire
QUOTE (Nokona @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 03:45 PM) It's definitely true. The two guys were considered "not in good standing" the weekend that it occurred. No one was quite sure what was going on but there were immediate rumors that the worst was happening. As for the turning recruits into stars thing, pretty much every recruit that's come out of Iowa started as a 1-3 star. It hasn't been since the last 3 years that arrests have been increasing ten-fold as recruit numbers went up. Apparently there was a big flare up in the 06-07 season when hotshot recruits came in acting like they were priveleged because of how many stars were next to their name while starters weren't so great (note: This is seen as a large part of the reason Drew Tate was so angry at everyone that year, the youngsters were on starter's asses because they were cocky). As a former student who has a deep love for the University and town, I saw the otherside of the coin and decided to bolt early. Iowa City is a wonderful weekend, however, you can find yourself in alot of trouble time and time again. Some people are able to avoid those situations, some aren't. Unfortunately, I dont think hotshot football players are usually logical enough to avoid them. Oh and City Boyz Inc 4 life. Life's a Hustle. There's quite a few people calling for both Barta and Ferentz's heads.

Mother Nature vs. State of Iowa
So, last night a derecho swept thru the central part of the state, with 70-100 mph winds between US 20 and US 30. Apparently the area around DSM got it pretty good.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 04:40 PM) Personally, I think it should be Clayton Richard coming up. I'm sorry, but that makes sense.

Loss
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 04:34 PM) Masset to start on Tuesday, Russell sent down, I wonder who's coming up next? I'll guess Ehren. It surely doesn't seem like a real bright idea to start a s***ty reliever on two days rest, but, hey, what do I know?
